"Stopped here on the way to greenman festival as my wife was visiting friends in the village. Oh, what a magnificent country pub it was. It was a friendly characterful local just the sort anyone would wish to live near. Went for the homemade fish finger sandwich which was a taste sensation. After paying, we had the pleasure of meeting Alfie and Phil who wished us a good weekend, a good life. It was all over too soon with a fist pump and we were on the road again. Wish to be visiting this place again soon."

I have stopped bothering with TripAdvisor reviews but have to say that the cod and chips I had at the Temple this afternoon was the best I have had in years. Truly delicious. Great service too and a nice big side restaurant with plenty of space. I will be back.

Had a great time at The Temple Bar Inn for a birthday meal. The food was incredible and our waitress was very kind and friendly. Perfect amount of waiting time inbetween courses, allowed your starter to go down before you tuck into the main course. Would recommend this place 100%.

in short. the place was very busy and there was a large group in the restaurant that celebrated a birthday. when the group consumed more alcohol, they became louder and the speeches were colorful. that said eating was very good, so we will try again and hope for a non-party night!
