Such a pleasant place, great live music, decent food (although the meals are not central to Club 606) Highly recommend

The Lamb Rump dish was delicious Beautifully cooked lamb and extremely tasty. Came with plenty of Mash Gravy Could have done with additional veg such as Carrots. Side dish of Courgettes was enough for 2 people.

Sarah Gillespie and her band were some of the best live musicians I have ever seen. The club was a decent space, full and lively without being overcrowded. Could do with renovation but I imagine thats not their priority. Food and service good.

What a wonderful hidden gem! Almost worried about saying too many good things about the place as it needs to stay a bit of a secret! You have to keep your eyes peeled to find this club and when you do manage to stumble on it, you have to ring the bell to be let in. The staff are very friendly. The food and drinks are decent and unpretentious met my expectations. The place is simply furnished, cosy, relaxed and no longer clouded in smoke since the smoking ban. You can rock up in jeans t-shirt and feel very comfortable here. Patrons are asked to keep the banter to an absolute minimum which is fine as you go to this sort of joint mainly for the music. You'll be able to see and hear the band very well from every table in the room.

The music and the band were fantastic, creating a great ambience. However, the overall experience would have been better if the food was more than just average - it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything special. As soon as we sat down and tried to look at the menu and choose our drinks, we were constantly interrupted and asked if we were ready to order, which made it difficult to make decisions. Despite asking for a couple of minutes to browse the menu, our food arrived in less than 5 minutes after ordering, indicating that it was pre-cooked and pre-plated. The highlight of the night was definitely the music, but overall, the restaurant left much to be desired.

I want to start by mentioning that this restaurant does not have a music license unless you order food. They informed me about this policy after I had already made a reservation. When I arrived, I was pressured to order at least two appetizers or leave. The staff enforced this rule in a very aggressive manner, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. The waitress spoke to me condescendingly and the manager bluntly stated, "You must purchase an appetizer or depart." Why would a restaurant resort to manipulating customers to order more food instead of obtaining a proper license? Are they new to the industry and cannot afford a license?
