Fantastic experience! The chairs are sturdy and well-crafted! The staff is very friendly! The restrooms are clean! It feels like a safe environment!

Great Pub in centre of Lynmouth, Interesting (in a good way) maritime decor and friendly and efficient staff. Visited recently, had planned to eat in the connected Bath Hotel , but liked the look of the menu and had an excellent dinner here instead, so glad we chose here. On Saturday at noon, we noticed signs indicating that reservations were required for dinner, as the restaurant is quite small. We chose to sit indoors, but there are also outdoor tables that offer a lovely atmosphere. The Tofish and chips I ordered was a generous portion and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place!

I visited the restaurant expecting typical pub fare, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered the fish and chips, which came with authentic mushy peas, a deliciously crispy batter, and flavorful cod. My partner had the moules marinière, which she described as rich and creamy, with high-quality, meaty mussels.

Went bar asked for thatchers fruity cider don’t have thatchers but have similar so got 2 pints nothing like thatchers Husband took it back to the bar asked if they could change it very stroppy barmaid eventually changed it but said make that your last drink here husband can’t believe he is 64 and it’s the first time he has been barred from a pub Visualizza piatti

I absolutely love this place! The nautical theme and the historical decor on the walls are both fascinating and add to the overall ambiance. The food is outstanding, and the beer is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's my favorite pub for dining and drinking in Lynmouth! If you're unsure what to order from the menu, you can't go wrong with any of the ploughman's or the fishcakes!

We booked a table here based on recent reviews. We were not disappointed! The Sunday roast is terrific. It's lush. 7 different vegetables, my beef was cooked perfectly; I was even asked how I liked it cooked! Brilliant. Gravy delicious and roast potatoes were great. Yorkshire puddings as you can see are prodigious. Also some lovely ales from Exmoor brewery on tap and we ordered a bottle of red as well. A very special thanks to the team as the first bottle was vinegary but they changed it for a different one with absolutely no fuss. Overall we were very pleased indeed and would come back again without hesitation. Very highly recommended.

The Ancient Mariner is a charming pub/restaurant located right on the harbor in Lynmouth. It features a spacious and inviting entrance, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors, including a lovely deck that overlooks the harbor. The drink selection is diverse, and the food menu looks promising. I visited on a Wednesday morning when it was quite empty, but the bar staff greeted me warmly and promptly took my coffee order. It was served quickly and was delicious. The restaurant is quite large, with various seating options and cozy nooks. The decor is appealing, adorned with plenty of memorabilia to explore.
