"We booked a table for 2 pm on 29th oct, was greeted warmly and shown to our table,we ordered drinks, i had a very watery tasteless coffee, but i let that go, we then ordered our meals, and waited...... and waited, we had not ordered anything exotic,just a couple of roasts and a Childrens meal, it took an hour to produce the said meals, and they were not worth the wait, they must have been standing for an age ,waiting to be served,as they were stone cold, the roast potatoes were frozen ones, as so were the yorkshire puddings, what sort of restaurant doesn 't cook them fresh?.And relies on Aunt Bessie ? Even my grandaughter left her fries as they were like rubber and cold. The waitresses were ran ragged, trying to keep up with the tables around us, hence the fact the food was allowed to stand and get cold.my granddaughter saw one of the chefs , i use that term lightly , picking up potatoes , with his hands and putting them on plates. My son talked me out of calling a manager,as we were already running late due to the time taken to get our food, so i contacted Beefeater with my experience as soon as i got home, and as to date i have heard nothing, i even filled out a survey they emailed me saying they hoped i enjoyed my meal, again no response , hopefully it will be picked up here and they can tell me if cold, reheated frozen food is something they are happy to serve, £54 down the drain"

Great service and welcome from staff , Megan was nice and helpful. Steak surprise me, was good cooked, Prawn cocktail fresh and with toasted ciabata bread.

We go every Saturday ,with our children They love it . Staff very welcoming and friendly Food always fresh and plentiful . The staff always willing to help .if the can . The chef is friendly and always happy to help with our vegetarian child’s needs Manager always happy to help sorry forgot his name Well done to this restaurant With 4 children with sen needs .this is like a family friends home .

Another amazing meal! We absolutely love The Beacon, the food, service and location are just perfect. The food is always fantastic, faultless every time. There are too many people to thank and compliment at The Beacon, but our server tonight, Amber, was just sublime. Amber was attentive, knowledgeable and a fantastic sever. Honestly we cant recommend The Beacon highly enough! It’s a must if in the area.
