"We were met with a lovely welcome , the fire was roaring and all the candles lit , which was absolutely lovely. We had steak which have to say was really presented on our plate extremely well , food was hot and tasted fresh and tasty. We had a pudding , which have to say we had a lovely choice .All in all we had a welcoming dining experience and would most definitely eat in this pub again without doubt , thank you"

12 of us (and a dog) turned up without a booking and were well looked after. We had Sea Bass, Steak, Lamb, burgers and everything was perfect. The staff are lovely and accommodating.

the barmanager was an absolute gem. he could not do enough to bring us and our dogs and pressed us in for a meal in the bar. eating was really good too! a nice cozy pub with bars and great decor. traditional art pub and very dog friendly Visualizza piatti

what a wonderful pub. If they are interested in experiencing a really fascinating pub in the English landscape, they must visit the birds in hand. eating is great, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is fairy tale-like. when they are there, then they have tried that their beer is scattered with brooms and chips. it's great.
