"I’m glad I didn’t see any of the negative reviews about the burgers until after I had placed my order because mine was delicious. I simply wanted a burger, which came with crispy chips, coleslaw, and a side salad. The salad was fresh, and the burger was cooked medium to well, just the right thickness. My partner had an omelette, which was also cooked well. Perhaps they’ve hired new chefs? The young waitstaff were attentive and cheerful, even if they were still learning the ropes."

really welcoming and friendly pub, they took us away. beautiful pub garden and very decent beer selection. will be stumbled again. disclaimer: we had the child roast and a little bite was still generous.

A charming pub filled with history. They offer excellent beer, including 5 or 6 real ales to choose from. It’s conveniently located for visits to nearby Hertford Town FC, and the locals and staff are very friendly. Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5
