"Look, let me say at the outset that I hate criticising local businesses and we try to support them but this was really poor. We went for breakfast. We placed our order and waited at least 40 minutes for it to arrive. My wife’s breakfast was shocking. The bacon was burned, the mushrooms were burned and the black pudding was also burned. Her egg was swimming in horrible, almost black grease. The sausages were missing. I had the ‘big one’ and it wasn’t too bad. My wife sent her breakfast back. In fairness they weren’t going to charge us but as I’d eaten a bit of mine I paid for a ‘small breakfast’. The staff were really apologetic and I felt for them but it was a really disappointing experience."

We called in for lunch just before closing time and we were made very welcome. The menu was varied and we all found something we enjoyed. Good customer service for a table of 8 thank you

We stopped off for lunch on the basis of having a light lunch but when we saw the menu we decided to make it our main meal of the day. As soon as we entered we were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner which...

Lovely warm welcome to this cosy pub, the booking experience was easy and friendly and this continued when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, food was delicious and service efficient and friendly. Can’t wait to go back! Visualizza piatti

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. We decided to stop in for a meal this evening and I can't find any faults with the service or the food. I would give it a 10/10 and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal, whether with friends or family.

We have stopped here for food on a few occasions after visiting Aylesbury, each time having something different. The staff are really friendly and the food outstanding. The houses being built by the side of the pub/restaurant means you have to drive around the back...

Fantastic Sunday lunch with the family. Andy was great at communicating pre meal for our group of nine, he accommodated changes with ease and was a pleasure to deal with. The meal was beautifully cooked, efficiently served and we weren’t hurried. Would definitely recommend. Visualizza piatti

I had Sunday lunch with friends today and I must say, I couldn't find any faults with the staff, service, or food. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was delicious. A special mention goes to the Cauliflower cheese and cherry ice cream - not served together, of course.

We came for the breakfast as we’d previously had their takeaway roast dinners during lockdown and we really enjoyed it. Portions were a good size for the money and it was really tasty. My fiancé had the big breakfast and I had the pancake stack with 3 pancakes, fresh fruit and syrup. The pancakes were light and fluffy and came with a massive bowl of fruit. By the time we’d finished we both were stuffed! The breakfast menu is also good value for money because it includes either a cup of tea, a coffee or a glass of fruit juice. The staff were also really friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. We’ll definitely be coming back!

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."
