"Very disappointing experience, I visited on Sunday 22/10/2023 with my wife it was the first time I had been for a while and I was looking forward to it because my wife was raving about the risotto she had whilst there with friends, alas she was even more disappointed as this time round the risotto wasn 't the same and she only ate one spoonful . I started with the Mozzarella Fritti, which was fine and then went for the Penne Arrabbiata (with added Fillet Strips) but to be honest, whilst the sauce was okay the pasta and fillet strips were over cooked. My wife did complain about her risotto explaining how poor it was compared to that which was served on her last visit and this was deducted from the bill, but I had to ask our sever if any of the management team where interested in our experience before a manager came near us. All in a very poor experience in terms of food quality and service. "Having previously purchased a Groupon voucher and having had a lovely breakfast we purchased 2 further breakfast vouchers (terms as per the initial voucher). On our first visit (15.7.23) a Saturday, a male member of staff talked us through how it all worked etc., and we even stayed for further coffee and cake. Today (28.8.23) however, was a terrible experience. Watch out for the contradictory statements on the voucher!!!!!!!! On being approached by a female member of staff to take our order we highlighted the fact that we had a breakfast voucher. She advised she would have to check if it was valid !!!! This puzzled us as it was the same as the first voucher. The same male member of staff who attended to us on our initial visit came over and requested us to open the App and to read the last sentence of the terms and conditions which states it is not valid at the weekend. We pointed out that the said terms and conditions also stated Valid Saturday Sunday 9 am to 10.30 am. He advised that they knew the statement was wrong, had contacted Groupon and was not willing to honour the voucher for today. I find it strange that the exact same voucher is still on sale now containing the same contradictory statement despite the Cafe and Groupon apparently both knowing it is wrong. And, as I have highlighted earlier, it was such a voucher we used on our initial visit!!! I pointed out this issue was between them and Groupon and that they should be honouring the contradictory vouchers until they sort this out with Groupon. Very bad experience today, not handled at all well by staff, we left the premises, without eating, wont be back and wont be recommending this establishment."

"Rennie's is a fairly regular haunt and never lets us down. Had a few drinks and then settled down for our meal. I had the garlic mushrooms followed by a rib eye steak. The food was good as usual but not outstanding. I would have preferred real chips with my steak but got what I would call oven baked chipped potatoes. Ok, so they were probably better for me but I would have preferred real chips. They were tasty but I would have preferred the real thing. The dining area was busy and quite noisy but I suppose you have to take into account that it is a pub with live music. A good night out with the food competitively priced. Do doubt we will visit again soon."

"I visited this restaurant with some friends for a meal. The staff were excellent, but unfortunately, the food was not up to par. The taste was bland and the presentation was poor. It felt more like pub food than restaurant quality. The price per person was £30-40. Rating: Food 1/5, Service 5/5, Atmosphere 1/5."

"There are not many good restaurants in Johnstone, but this one is an exception and I would give it four stars. The Italian food is delicious and the price is reasonable. The presentation is nice, although it could use a bit more flair. The restaurant can be busy at times due to the number of tables packed inside, but they have always gotten my order right even during rush hour. The quality of the food has remained consistent. Overall, if you want to eat good food without spending a lot of money in the area, this is a great option. However, there are better options in Glasgow, such as La Laterna, although the prices are higher."
