quiet but well-run landhotel. fantastic eating. chef surely knows what he can do not blame it. the attentive staff.

the restaurant is located on the grounds of the excellent kentisbury grange hotels. food is generally good, but prices are high.

The Coach House was recommended by our AirBnB hosts as a good restaurant, and they were right. Friendly welcome, excellent food, good service and a relaxed buzz about the place. It is worth getting away from the larger North Devon towns and eating here.

Poor first impression of the restaurant decor that looks like a tasteless 1970s night club. Battered cod greasy, chips with a strange flavor, panacotta without the texture of panacotta, not to mention the flavor and the stale crumbs that came with it. Shocking. On the...other hand, my husband liked his sea bass. We won’t return.

Went for Sunday Lunch. Slow service despite restaurant nearly empty. Certainly overpriced for the offering. Food was average at best and a mean offering on vegetables, roast potatoes handled with care as we were in danger of them ricocheting around the room when stabbed! Wine...prices high. Stayed at the disappointing Kentisbury Grange Hotel, and this restaurant saved the trip. The food was amazing and the staff were very warm and welcoming. In addition to our breakfast with home made granola, we ate here both nights of our stay and were more...than happy with the quality, ambience and service. There was something for everyone in the menu and staff had a good knowledge of the food. Great experience. Thank you guys.

Reception and service was first class. There were 15 of us ranging in age from 83 to 13 for a 60th wedding anniversary. We were accommodated in an upper room with sitting area prior to moving to the dining area. The menu choices were very...diverse and all very good. The service to the table and attention to detail was second to none. At the end of the meal the waitresses had obviously detected it was a special occasion and the chef arrived with a chocolate decorated plate reading Happy Anniversary and accompanied.. with mini cakes. absolutely wonderful meal and service by patent, nicole, nick and tom. we came twice for my birthday week stay on the grange. the place is lovely and the Tandoori chicken we had on the day was a delicious! On Thursday we had the beer that was stuffed with curry sauce and that was sensational. patent could not do enough for us, she was wonderful. she even delivered flowers and prosecco with julie (julie was also delightful) to our lodge on my birthday that had ordered my family home, and flowers from my man also. nicole was a beautiful young lady, very chatting and sociable, pleasant and happy. nick had a great feeling of humor and was also very professional and tom.
