Lovely staff behind the counter. Always cheerful and with a smile. Everything is cooked to order, so no soggy chips here. It’s an absolute pleasure to come and eat from here.

I ordered a large meal from The Codfather for a nearby care home, and it was a hit with both the residents and staff! The staff at The Codfather were extremely helpful and friendly. Best fish and chips ever, apart from Mariners Wharf in Hout Bay, and Cape Town is too far away for a regular refill. The fish is cooked to order, crispy batter, flesh just flaking; chips also fresh, real potatoes. My neighbour and I share an order between us, being a couple of old ladies, but the men of the house settle down with determined expressions and contented noises

I ordered from the Codfather for a local care Home and it ended up being quite a large order! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it residents and staff! Everyone working at the Codfather was very helpful and genuinely lovely people. I’d recommend them to everyone! You get a lovely big portion unfortunately too big for some of us and it is all well priced. We would definitely order from them again

The fish and chips at this restaurant are the best I've ever had, except for Mariners Wharf in Hout Bay. Unfortunately, Cape Town is too far for me to get a regular refill. The fish is cooked to order with a crispy batter and perfectly flaky flesh. The chips are also fresh, made from real potatoes.
