"Found this Cafe through Happy Cow and popped in for a bite to eat. As it was during Covid they were only doing Take-Away. The lady didn’t have many options on display although she was keen to suggest something I could have. I ended up ordering Linda McCartney sausages and salad in a baguette. They use Flora and the bread is fine too. She also said she used Vegan Quorn as she was making suggestions for other options. I would have had total faith that anything offered would be lovely and SFV. The baguette was super tasty and filling."

Really lovely cafe. Enjoyed time with my little girl creating our masterpieces. Can't wait to collect the finished articles!

after a consultation we decided to 'the corner house' and we 're glad that we did, beautiful and airy with good view on the side to the kai. a good menu all set at a reasonable price when eating came out, it was all good looking. very friendly staff that the whole experience beautiful, shame we had not space for a piece of cake afterwards.

beautiful little place only from the harbour with view of gott and many tables inside. it can sometimes be a little busy because eating is amazing. we tried the creamtee and were more than satisfied. it consisted of miles tee and prefect cooked skorone, with the choice of jam and tinted cream. the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful would highly recommend.

very nice. milkshakes are excellent, eating is good and well portioned. the personal dressed in (I believe) abba uniform is ammusing. only the problem is the dog-friendly antidote is a bit small. there are two parts, a large and a small one. what is necessary is that the large area dog be friendly, and the other part for people with allergies etc. again, nice eating, but room to improve in the future. 4/5.

centrally located in this small village on the sea it was an surprise to find a vegan breakfast and more in this bright, airy caffe. new owners are looking to offer more choices, but now they can enjoy some lunch options from avocado toast, roasted teacake with vegan spread, suppe and I asked for a mushroom baguette that was huge and delicious. they are so friendly and open to suggestions and ask. good value and open every day except Tuesday

found this cafe through happy cow and dipped one for a bite to eat. while covid they were only take-away. the dame had not many options on the display, although she wanted to suggest something I would have. I ordered linda mccartney sausage and salat in a baguette. they use flora and brot is also good. she also said she used vegan rays as she made suggestions for other options. I would have had total belief that all that would be offered would be nice and sfw. the baguette was super delicious and fill.

The George Inn

The George Inn

"Yet again we needed to celebrate having resolved a long standing technical problem. The pub in Brompton Regis came up in discussion the evening before when our neighbour was around for a glass of wine. He said that before coming to our village he’d looked at houses in Brompton Regis. He left and we booked a table. Friday was a damp day but we were not deterred as we drove up into the Brendon Hills, usually distant views greet one but this day the clouds were dominant. However as we descended from Roborough Gate towards Wimbleball Lake we could turn off the wipers. By the time we crossed the bridge at the top of the lake a shaft of sun broke through and sparkled across the surface of the water whilst light wisps of mist kissed the shore line. Rounding the churchyard wall always raises our expectations for there is the George Inn. The bar door was hardly open before Tash, a beaming smile, greeted us with a price board for ‘COFFEE’. I said in my previous review that I wouldn’t mention coffee at the George again, sorry, but I must. The coffee machine had arrived the day before. Well done Tripadvisor the George! We had a wonderful starter of Baba Ganoush, new to the menu that day. It was exceptionally good with delicate flavour. Following on was chicken breast and pasta with tomato sauce, again great flavour though my wife found it a little too greasy. My Bengal curry was fantastic and a most generous serving. Our ‘Desert,’sic, was Chocolate Ganache with pistachio ice cream under crunched nuts. I had the steamed maple syrup pudding set in a delicious whisky sauce, a very delicate and light texture, just right to finish on after the curry! Of course we had our long awaited espressos from the new device, a delicious finale to our meal. Earlier in walkers had dropped in wanting a coffee. Now all on Exmoor should be heading to the George for their ‘hit’."
