I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The burger and homemade pizzas were fantastic. I will definitely be returning soon.

After eating many Sunday carvery's here I booked my wife's 40th birthday for a Friday meal for 13 of us. They informed us of their new menu and we pre-ordered the food, and also ordered a birthday cake. The food was exquisite, the service was excellent and they completely exceeded my expectations with the red velvet cake. Also, I should add that our daughter is coeliac so we regularly eat here as they're so good with allergies. Thank you!

What a wonderful carvery! You have got to book. Otherwise, there is no chance of getting a table. The amount and quality of the meat was outstanding. The slices of meat were at least a centimetre thick, which is unheard of where I live. The choice of vegetables seemed endless and constantly replaced. The owner was a cheery happy chap who was very visible having a laugh with all the customers. I would have no hesitation in returning fir another enjoyable experience!! Visualizza piatti

We recently went to a comedy night at this restaurant, which was enjoyable. The evening was lovely, but the food was average at best. The new management appears to be friendly and full of energy, but I prefer my food to be more flavorful when dining out. Since it was a buffet, I understand that it's likely prepared in large quantities and may not be the most impressive. I would consider returning for another comedy night, but the food alone wouldn't be what draws me back. Nonetheless, I appreciate their efforts and think they are doing a great job. Give it a try and you may have a different experience than I did.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Booked Mother’s Day lunch for 9 of us, 3 weeks in advance used the messenger service so that the booking was in black and white…. Arrived for our confirmed booking at 12 noon to be told there was no such booking. Proceeded to show them the message confirmation to then be told “oh yeah, you’re booked for 2 PM, our fault, can you go and come back” Really? Waste how much fuel, sit hungry for another two hours with small kids in tow?!? Are these guys for real? Will not be going again. I left a review on their social media being polite and factual, to just be blocked. No apology. Also, be aware… they are tax dodgers…. Cash only apparently. Nice honest people...

Over the past year, The Countryman has seen notable improvements, particularly in its exterior, creating a more inviting atmosphere. However, the interior décor is noticeably outdated and could benefit from modernisation to complement the external upgrades. While the food menu offers a variety of options and imaginative dishes, some fall short in terms of both selection and quality. For instance, the salmon with peach sauce had well-cooked salmon and perfectly prepared crushed potatoes, but the addition of a tinned peach topping didn 't meet expectations in terms of presentation or taste.
