Had the Christmas Fayre menu today , 3 people lovely food , good portion sizes . We use the pub regularly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub and it’s service .

Had a one-night stopover here. Pleasant, helpful efficient staff; authentic tapas; bedroom roomy and clean; bed comfortable; bathroom spotless but no storage hanging; breakfast good and plentiful. Great value.

Tried out the breakfast menu this morning. We didn’t expect anything different.. like the evening menu it is proper good food, good value, fast friendly service!! They say a good breakfast sets you up for the day.. well you won’t be disappointed. Fully recommend

We found exactly what we were looking for, a calm atmosphere, after a heavy traffic 5hr drive. This was just a one night stay but from the very comfortable, quiet, spacious room, from the very welcoming, pleasant staff to the home cooked tasty dinner and breakfast it was actually more than we expected. Paid a visit for their coronation celebration breakfast. It was delicious, filling and very good value. Much better quality food than any other pub breakfast and approx one third of the price with attentive and friendly service. Very good vegan and vegetarian options. Visited the week after for tapas and the best chips in staffordshire. We count ourselves very lucky to have such a good local, but would travel if we weren't local.

I was looking to book a table for my family. 2 households amounting to 8 people. I politely asked why they were only allowing 6, only to be answered by some old whine type regular of the Crewe arms (obnoxious west ham fan) who told me it was the law and implied I was thick. in fact it was he who had the law wrong, and he who was thick as the guidance allows 2 households amounting upto 30 people. One of the bar staff, who is linked to he family, scolded me for challenging this alcoholic regular and she even blocked me and removed the post. Not once did she tell old fat lad off. stay clear folks, this is a local pub for local whinos

Had a meal here with Friends under the 'eat out to help out ' initiative. Staff were really friendly helpful. Place was really clean and you can see how much effort has gone into getting it up to code due to Covid-19. Out of 7 meals, 4 were really nice and tasty (beef ale pie, haddock chips, hunters chicken child 's cheese sandwich chips) . However the three in our group who had burgers were disappointed. We were told they were beef, however the taste and texture didn 't marry with that apparently it left a very weird aftertaste in your mouth. Puddings were huge devoured by those who had them.
