Warm welcome, excellent friendly service and wonderful breakfasts and coffee. It was really nice to get different food as well as classic breakfasts. The owners create a happy atmosphere

Exactly what we needed today a quick and tasty lunch. New burger on the menu was delicious and the dirty fries with chicken shawarma was great. Good value and a nice buzzy atmosphere. Friendly, efficient service. Will definitely return.

I revisited this restaurant after a few years and was once again disappointed. The lack of cleanliness is unacceptable. The toilets had a strong odor, the hand wash was of poor quality, the chandeliers were dirty, and the waiter was handling food with his bare hands. It felt as though they were rushing us out, and the atmosphere was cold.

Up in Nottingham for my son’s graduation and looking for a good breakfast and came upon the Crimson Tree on TripAdvisor As we were not staying far away, we walked here and sat outside. I had the Persian eggs and my wife had the cereal. Both were excellent. The coffee and pot of tea were also very good. Not surprisingly, it was very busy but the service was still friendly and professional

I came to this restaurant for the first time and I will definitely be coming back! It's a charming place for friends, family, and couples. The food was incredibly delicious and I highly recommend it. I ordered the full English breakfast with a cup of English tea, and it was a delightful experience to see loose tea served in a beautiful China teacup. If I could give this place a Michelin star, I would. Bon appétit!

This restaurant is typically a fantastic place to dine at, so we frequent it often and have never had any complaints. However, during our recent visit, the waiter accidentally spilled our coffee, causing us to lose half of it. Although he cleaned up the spill, he left the table wet and left behind dirty tissue paper in a pile. We requested another coffee but had to wait 20 minutes for it to be served. To top it off, when we received the bill, we were charged for both coffees at full price. In hindsight, we should have addressed the issue with the staff.

Sadly, this place has lost its sparkle since management changed hands. The menu is smaller and not as well served. It’s still tasty but if, like me, it’s the customer service that puts the cherry on the cake…then this place has lost that. No smiles, no warm engagement and no ‘love’ it’s so sad-this place used to be difficult to get a table and now you can get one anytime. A true reflection of the change and drop in customer service. I asked to sit at a different table as my friend is hard of hearing and all I got was an eye roll, I wanted to just leave-instead I won’t be back! Staff: please smile at least! We are spending our money and you should be happy about that.

I visited here today, when I arrived I asked if they do Ia vegan breakfast to which I believe it was the owner said yes, I was then seated, no menu to check my order. I was served 2 dry toast, with 2 slices of beef tomatoe, with a tomatoes relish, a few rocket leaves and 2 mushrooms. So my dry toast with cold tomatoes, was not a vegan breakfast, which I asked for, afterwards when I paid for my food I was told owe we don't do vegan that was the vegetarian option. Why was I lied to by yhe owner when I arrived, I'd rather that he'd told me the options or said sorry we don't do vegan breakfasts. We were looking for a good lunch stop between York and Bath and choose this one on the basis of Google Reviews. These can be hit and miss, we've found. In this case though, they were right on the money. What a find! Friendly service and the best coffee and food we've had in the UK. Big call, yes! But we've been here nearly 4 months and been to many many places. The food here is Mediterranean-inspired, with lots of delicious fresh flavours in their not-insubstantial salads.
