"Decided didn't want to cook and hadn't been The Crown for ages so rang up as a speculative for a table last minute, it was a very well spent last minute. Son ordered the Nachos with Chilli for starters, very generous portion and made up that he didn't want to spoil his main . The Chicken Balti from the chef's special menu was perfect, literally could have been sat in an Indian restaurant!!! Large portion, lots of big chicken pieces came with all the trimmings too, also had the chicken and mushroom pasta, again generous portion loads of chicken and full of flavour. All in all really nice meal in relaxed surroundings, considering the times we are in the team at The Crown are doing a great job."

the personal as always beautiful and the eating was also great, we had all different dishes. my daughter is vegan so enjoyed the vegan pizza, but there was not a lot for her to choose. I had pizza and mozzarella sticks beautiful.

Only ever passed this pub while driving home from Widnes but visited with my brother's and cousin's after a walk around Victoria Park. Plenty of parking with a large outdoor seating area and though we had already eaten, the menu looked tempting. Nice, pleasant staff in a clean, well kept pub.

I highly recommend calling and making a reservation before heading to this restaurant for a meal, as it tends to get quite busy. The food here is truly amazing and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive, ensuring that customers leave happy and satisfied. they met with school friends to recover on a Sunday. friends had both sunday roasts, which was spectacular and huge I decided to steak and ale cake, which was also huge, but have to congratulate the cook. chips were beautiful, but the cake was great. I would go back as if the meal times per £15 approx. before drink the portions and the fast, attentive service made it worth that something extra. would recommend especially for those with great appetites: well made crown
