"This was the second time we had indulged ourselves in the takeaway service from Tapenades, the first being my husbands birthday in December and of course Valentines Day. Yes, its lovely to go out for a meal but this really is the next best thing, quality and value for money are certainly not compromised and the food, simply gorgeous. If you have never enjoyed the fayre at Tapenades either eating in or the takeaway, then you really are missing out on a gastronomic treat. Thank you Mike Sue, we are already looking forward to our next meal."

"The quality and flavours of the food are lovely, sadly there is an issue between the telephone and the kitchen. The last 3 orders had items missing, most recently 2 portions of rice were missing. So I phoned to see what would be done and I got a half hearted sorry. I asked 'AND? ' and was told sorry again. You must be making a fortune charging people for take away items and not packing them. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING THIS RESTAURANT. Thanks for the reply but it is of course absolute rubbish You claim the person was new but it happened three times and I didn 't give you the dates when I picked up the food. So how do you know it was a new person? Was it also a new person in the kitchen every time not packing the entire order? Believe me, I won 't be coming back. "My parents and I decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. All I can say is thank god for her recommendation, I didn’t even realise this marvellous place existed, hidden down Pike Street. Everyone was so welcoming, they moved us from the original table as there was a big party coming in and they said “it might get a bit noisy for you”. For some reason we forgot to order starters but we didn’t need them after the poppadoms and pickles, and in some respects I’m kind of glad we forgot! The mains we ordered alongside some veggie sides were absolutely gorgeous and generous, all three of us struggled to finish. I had the chicken dopiaza which was gorgeous, sweet and fragrant. My parents had chicken bhuna and chicken jalfrezi, along with mushroom rice and egg fried rice, garlic and plain naan. It’s currently 8.35pm and I’m as full and happy as I’ve ever been. What a diamond this restaurant is and the service was timely and impeccable. If I could give more than five stars, I would."

"What a lovely quaint little pub. Had a lovely carvery extremely generous portions all fresh ingredients. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. If you would like a relaxed atmosphere and a roast , just like your grans then this is the place. Also dog friendly. "I recently tried the takeout option for dinner at this restaurant. The price per person is quite affordable, ranging from £1 to £10. The food was satisfying and I would rate it a 5 out of 5. The service was excellent, also receiving a 5 out of 5 rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and inviting, deserving a perfect score of 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying their pizza, which was delicious. For vegetarians, I somewhat recommend this restaurant as their vegetarian offerings are not very clear. I would suggest asking the staff for recommendations if you are looking for vegetarian options."
