The Dairy Bar & Bistro

Our group of 4 had an exquisite time at The DairyWe opted for the tasting menu as something special for a member of our party's birthday.

This place was totally delicious We came here for brunch around 11:00 and there were still a couple tables available for people who didn't have resos.

The Dairy is tricky for me to judge as it is clear that the food is prepared with consideration for taste, texture and presentation, and the staff are also

Dinner was lovely, with a great amuse bouche and happy birthday plate on the house! The food is exceptional and exciting to have lots of small plates. It would’ve been nice to have some music in the background.

Went for brunch, which was great in terms of the food. I have been before and not sure why but the waiters/waitresses were far less attentive than before. They missed an item on the order and added an extra meal. Wouldn't usually be an issue but they weren't overly friendly about it despite it not being our fault.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. We visited on a Sunday when they had a set menu, which we were initially unsure about. However, everything tasted amazing and it was nice to try different dishes that we wouldn't normally order. The staff were very accommodating and made sure we were able to leave on time so we wouldn't miss the rugby match. I will definitely be returning soon!

I made a reservation for a party of 3 yesterday, but our table was not prepared when we arrived. We were seated at a very small table, and when we tried to move to a bigger one, the staff had an issue with it. The waiter was incredibly rude and we even had to ask to order drinks. The food was okay, but the menu was lacking. The staff did not check on us to see if our meal was satisfactory. I would not recommend this restaurant due to the rude staff that ruined our experience. Style over substance!

We have visited the Dairy restaurant three times and each time, the food and service were outstanding. The chestnut and wild mushroom pasta dish was particularly memorable. However, our most recent visit was slightly disrupted by a group of loud and drunken men at the next table, who were clearly thrown out of a nearby pub. It may be beneficial for the Dairy to reconsider their policy on allowing walk-ins solely for drinks. Additionally, having a spring-loaded door closer would have improved our dining experience as many patrons failed to close the door behind them, causing a draft. A fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant is in a great location overlooking Clapham Common and just moment from the tube. It’s a cosy and welcoming space with an open kitchen and slightly rustic feel. The service is friendly and relaxed but also very attentive without being overbearing. They helped us understand the menu and make our choices, there’s a great drinks list too...we chose from the main menu and the food was just wonderful. Three savoury courses (they are slightly smaller plates) exploding with flavours and textures. We wanted to lick all of our plates clean!
