We have dined at this charming pub twice in the past week for lunch. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent both times. We are fortunate to have such a lovely pub nearby. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

visited this pub the other evening had enjoyable meal I had the scampi and chips which was very nice I didn't have desert but that's not unusual. The service was very good attentive and made to feel welcome would definitely recommend this for a traditional country pub.

We had a lovely Sunday Lunch here while on a weekend visit to Diss. Very Olde Worlde pub with great staff. Our meal was excellent as were the desserts. Not be for a few years but an excellent return visit. The new owners have made great improvements, very welcoming, efficient and friendly service and the food is superb.We have returned a few times since and will remain on our list of good lunch venues.Will definitely return again and again...

What a lovely little pub. Been for lunch with a friend today. Just had jacket potato beans and cheese, great for slimming world. Hosts are super friendly. Not expensive. Beautiful surroundings. Fire alight, very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back for another lunch soon and with friends for an evening. Well done all x

This was a lovely experience we had a warm welcome, excellent food the steak was cooked perfectly! We had a party of 16 and the chef cooked all food to perfection. Steak and Ale pies were amazing , broccoli and Stilton soup was delicious, prawn cocktails was delicious. Everyone had a great evening. I want to give a big thank you to Jan, Hannah, and Luke for making my birthday lunch so memorable. We ordered from the Christmas menu and pre-ordered our meals. The food was beautifully presented and they were very accommodating. There were a total of 15 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Thank you to the entire team, we will definitely be returning. Overall, it is a wonderful family-friendly pub with amazing hosts.

My husband and I had a pleasant lunch at The Fighting ****, enjoying a delicious pint of Wolf's beer. The portions of ham, egg, and chips, as well as sausages and mash, were generous and priced at a great value of £15. We received a friendly greeting and excellent service. The restaurant strictly followed Covid19 guidelines and added to the cozy ambience with a nice log fire. We also appreciated that The Fighting **** is dog-friendly, as our furry friend was content and slept peacefully throughout our meal.

I haven't been in the pub for a very long time and I was very pleasantly surprised at the transformation. It was aesthetically very nice, it looked and felt a lot more organised, decluttered and cleaner. It has lost that noisy music and pool bar ethos which allowed it to be more intimate in the dining area. The pub looked really inviting with its Christmas decorations and warm cosy log burner.The owners were very welcoming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble.I had ordered a specially prepared meal for last night and it was absolutely no bother whatsoever.The food was really lovely, my partner and friend had a dessert and they said it was fab.So keep up the good work everyone and I...
