The Fine Coffee - Piatti

Food, coffee and staff excellent. Background music far too loud, adds nothing to ambiance and means customers share their conversations with others as they have to raise their voices to be heard by their fellow diners.

We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The tables were dirty and the cutlery was filthy. Our coffees came in takeaway cups. As we were paying, we noticed the dirty dishes piling up. The food was a big letdown.

Fabulous coffee...the best I 've tasted this summer (was is Lancashire, Cornwall, Devon NI). Baked items are amazing and unusual best of all was new staff member Emma, friendly, helpful, cheerful and efficient. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger I 'll be back ! Visualizza piatti

I haven't been to Fine for a while and this visit has reminded me why. The coffee is pretty decent but the service, sooooo slow. I'm not a super fast busy guy but these guys take the biscuit. By the way, i didn't, it took too long. The barista is super disinterested and i just wanted to bounce in and help out. Looks like the Fat Gherkin is my coffee house of choice.

We arrived at 4:10pm on a Sunday, 20 mins before close to find all the traybakes/buns had already been cleared away for closing. We were disappointed and expressed as such but got two drinks to go anyway. The drinks took a while to be made but were delicious when we got them. Heard the manager/team leader giving off about us to other staff members because we had made a comment about the traybakes lol. Maybe make sure to wait until we leave before giving out

I ordered an extra hot cappuccino but it arrived lukewarm at best. The food came after and was served without napkin and cutlery, which I had to request. I asked for my coffee to be made extra hot but instead of remaking it or adding hot milk, I saw hot water being poured from a machine at my table. When I pay for a cappuccino, I expect it to be made with milk rather than being topped up with hot water to increase the temperature. We visited for lunch as a family of 4 adults and 2 children. A table was found quickly for us and order taken. 3 adult and 1 child meal arrived in good time and we were left waiting for our remaining 2 meals. It's hard to explain to a young child why he doesn't have any food while his brother is tucking in to his! We had to ask twice where our missing meals were and they eventually arrived 20 minutes after the rest of our party had finished absolutely appalling service. The food was actually quite good but the whole experience was spoilt by the poor service. We would certainly not visit again.

We have been to Fine probably 10+ times in the past 3 years and its always been good food. Getting a table is usually possible and the staff can be a bit slow at times, but then again, the place is always busy. We went for lunch today and it was its usual busy and a good buzz about the place. Service was not the fastest today, but it was busy as ever and we ended up ordering at the till. The coffee is always good, I like it strong and its got the right edge to it and its always smooth. The staff don 't really engage with the customers, but that 's ok and they do change regularly. We have visited Fine dozens of times for breakfast, and this is a well overdue review. This is a great cafe with friendly, attentive staff and nice food. No matter how busy it is, the food is usually served quickly. This is a bonus for us as we are usually making a quick stop off on the way to somewhere else. I am gluten intolerant and they always have gluten free bread which helps me out greatly. Fine is a very pet friendly cafe, and while we usually cannot get bringing our own dog, it is still nice to see plenty of dogs enjoying cafe life! A couple of requests I would make would be a vegan butter option (for example flora sachets), and also on those sunny days when its mega busy out the ba... Visualizza piatti
