"The food at this restaurant is truly exceptional. Four of us dined here and we all loved the food so much that we returned the next night, and it was even better. The tables are spread out so you don't feel cramped, the service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is outstanding, the presentation is excellent, and along with the drinks, it is reasonably priced. I would suggest going early to take advantage of the pre-theatre prices. I don't usually recommend restaurants, but I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who appreciates good food."

Have a really delicious lunch. Lunch with a glass of wine and sitting outside didn’t feel like I was in Belfast at all! Food was lovely and service top notch. Definitely be back.

In the heart of the cathedral quarter with lots of similar eating establishments, Salt initially looks the part. Lively, attentive service, but a very scruffy menu cards, and extremely dull menu. Food was good but, unspectacular. The whole experience was underwhelming.

I made a reservation online for the next evening, but the restaurant cancelled my booking and couldn't accommodate me when we arrived. They also took 4 hours to notify me of the cancellation. This was going to be our first visit to Salt, but we won't be making another reservation.

Salt Bistro in the Cathedral Quarter, Belfast, is somewhere I have passed by a lot and every time I tell myself that I should try it. Indeed my friends keep asking me ‘have you reviewed Salt Bistro yet?’ So Miriam and I visited it last Thursday to see how good this place really was. Visualizza piatti

Came here for lunch after arriving in Belfast after seeing great reviews. Very friendly staff the Male who served us seemed to be the owner recommended to my friend the best cider and beer to try there which was lovely. We both had an Irish beef burger with caramelised onions and cheese on! Was beautiful. Would recommend

Four of us visited at the weekend to enjoy the pre theatre menu before heading to a nearby gig. Two courses are £16 and 3 of us chose mains and pudding whilst the other had starter and mains. We were all very happy with what we had both for quantity and quality. This was the first visit for all of us but certainly not the last. Highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

The pre-theater meal (2 courses for 16) was excellent in quality and value. I chose a starter of goat cheese that came with a very tasty salad garnish. This included pomegranate seeds, fresh beets, and cashews. For my main course, I had Thai chicken and shrimp curry which was very good. Everything was washed down with a very fine glass of Bardolino. Excellent service and atmosphere.

We stopped in for dinner as we were staying nearby without a booking and they made space for us. The food was very good seafood chowder was superb with lots of meat and the mains were outstanding I had the lamb which was perfectly cooked and a lot of it. The chicken was enjoyed by 2 of the family and that hit the spot too. Service was unobtrusive and everything we needed. Good prices and well worth a visit if in the St Anne's cathedral area.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
