"This is my first visit to the cafe and can I just say it is simply amazing! It may be cosy but the place just oozes character. It's simplicity it what makes this place so charming! The food is impeccable, the service, second to non! A really personal service made for a beautiful evening! Not to mention as we booked here for our anniversary we were met by cards and gifts!!! It's the little touches that make for a perfect evening!"

"We have always enjoyed coming here for a coffee during the summer months , but unfortunately today we had really poor service. We came in just for morning coffee. The place was around 60 65% full. It took 10/ 15 minutes for our order to be taken then a further 20/25 minutes to receive a coffee each. When checking how long it would be the server apologised and said she would check this then took a further 6 minutes to get the coffee. At this point she told us apparently the order had only been put through 11 minutes ago. Which means whoever took our order didn’t bother putting it through for quite some time. The only positive to the visit was the till assistant at the end who was really polite and friendly. just to add that in this time other people had been/eaten and left."

"We came upon this establishment by chance rather than recommendation.We are cautious in giving too much praise, however, our experience fully merited a 5 star award. Reading the menu makes your mouth water and it is difficult to make a choice with such a comprehensive selection. However choices made and watching other customers meals being brought to the table, we thought we are in for a treat. Our meals arrived and were a visual delight. They tasted as good as they looked. They were truly delicious.My wife chose the duck breast and I chose the sea bass and we shared a portion of sweet potato chips. I am not one for superlatives but our meals were exquisite. We were in the area for 2 nights and at the end of our visit on Friday evening, we enquired if we could book for the following evening. To our surprise they were able to meet our request. On our second visit I chose the swordfish and my wife the calf 's liver, sharing a portion of mixed vegetables. We chose to share a trio of desserts We consider two courses for £25 to be the expected tariff in average establishments . We were amazed that food of this quality was being offered at this price. The quality of service matched the quality of the food. Overall a memorable experience It is unlikely that we shall be in the area again, but if so this would be our first port of call."

"Haven't been for a long time. Their menu online was very appealing. It got increasingly busy while I was there so it would be better to book at peak periods. Excellent food. I started with the pulled pork nachos which came with not one, not two but three different dips. Lovely. The waitress was running round and very busy but still treats everyone exceptionally. Main course was the steak sizzler with stir fried vegetables and peppercorn sauce with chips though I could have had rice. They also do a cajun chicken that was similar but I will have to go again for that. The steak sizzler was spot on. There was plenty of sauce. Really tasty. Really enjoyed my meal. Really appreciated the service. The waitress was nowhere to be seen when I left either running outside where they have more tables or collapsed in a heap in the kitchen breathing from an oxygen tank so she missed my grateful thanks on this occasion. Definitely worth another visit to sample more of the extensive menu"
