"We went to the Garden Restaurant on 24 August The restaurant has a beautiful view over the bay, with windows all along one side. The tables are well-spaced, and the room is not overly noisy. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, although kept extremely busy! The restaurant offers a set price for 2 3 or 4 courses, with an optional supplement for ‘gourmet’ choices. We chose the 3 course option, which I thought was very good value. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the portions are not over-generous, however the taste and quality of the food is excellent. The cocktails are probably a bit over-priced, I had the melon and feta salad, which although a little lacking in cheese, was really fresh and delicious, with a lovely dressing. We also had the chicken skewers , linguine, and Thai green vegetable curry. Of these the curry was probably the nicest, although it was just at the limit of spiciness for me. We finished with the small cheese plate, which was definitely small, but very nicely presented and perfectly adequate, with a respectable amount of crackers. All in all, a really enjoyable experience, and to be honest, quite a relief to stand up from the table and not feel stuffed!"

the restaurant is a great sound. a few things you can work on. the menu price structure is obviously not clear that a next-court counts as so conscious.

Went here while on a holiday to Cornwall. Food was nice, setting was calm and pleasant. View was lovely. All round worth a visit when looking for a good evening meal.

The food was great but the service was awful. The staff took forever to come over to take orders, clear plates and for us to pay. They were just stood around talking and there were loads of empty plates around.

really lovely restaurant in the Hotel Penzance, on the east side of the town; elevated and set-back so you have great views of the harbour. The food was superb, service very fast and good wine. A really nice restaurant, I will make it a regular spot. One thing, the restaurant is now called The Garden Bar and Restaurant' the name on The Fork is confusing.

a beautiful, lively restaurant with views over the harbour. the personal was really friendly and efficient. we had a 3-course menu with wine and that was delicious. we had a whistle and rump steak and were really good. portion sizes were perfect as they were still space for desert and everything was ready to eat. we will definitely recommend friends and family.

I had a wonderful dining experience at The Garden Bar and Restaurant located in Hotel Penzance on the east side of town. The restaurant is elevated and set back, offering stunning views of the harbor. The food was excellent, the service was efficient, and the wine selection was impressive. I will definitely be making this restaurant a regular spot. My only suggestion is that the restaurant is now called 'The Garden Bar and Restaurant', which may cause confusion with the name listed on The Fork.
