The Gate Inn Sutton Cum Lound

My five friends and me visited here on Friday for lunch, the food, the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! We loved the early Christmas theme, the decor was incredible. Well worth a visit!

We had a great time at the cabaret night. The night was flawless. The hosting was fantastic, decorations were amazing, the entertainment was outstanding. A two course meal and entertainment for each was excellent value. Loved it will be back.

We went here as we could take our puppy. It was worth the visit. Food was absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff. I was taken back as to how nice and clean the toilets were. I felt well pampered. Lots of nice hand smellies even hair...spray. We have booked to go again. Visualizza piatti

This place was amazing the food service and place was amazing the service was good but the food was just on a different level came for a birthday so that we came would come again if you are looking for somewhere to go for a...birthday surprise or anything else come the gate inn.overall loved the place so good.

We had the most amazing evening dinning at The Gate Inn Sutton cum Lound. The staff Michael and Amy were totally fantastic and so welcoming. The food could not have been better and very enjoyable. Took some friends who were visiting there. The food was average but the biggest problem was the seating. Two of the stairs at the table were so low our chins were level with the table. We complained but all we were offered were some cushions...that proved inadequate. Although we live in the village we will not go there again Visualizza piatti

Had an excellent meal today. Lots of choice to suit all tastes. Staff could not have been more helpful. The interior design is lovely... spacious, mixes old with new brilliantly. Some nice quirky features. A hidden gem! A shame the outside appearance didn't match the...inside, nor the picture on the website. We nearly drove past it! The red is far too dowdy...the magnolia colour on the website picture makes the restaurant look far more enticing...country inn style!

Having struggled to previously get a table we finally made it last week. It did not disappoint. The welcome was warm and fun, the menu choices is extensive and a bit overwhelming but in a good way. There was so much to choose from it...was difficult to decide. The sticky chicken with rice was a winner. The terriaki salmon was OK, for some reason I thought the stir fried veg would be chinese but it wasn't which was a shame. Anyway, the experience overall was positive and the service attentive and friendly.

We have been a few times before and always enjoyed it. Visited today for lunch with my family and I have to say, I left feeling a little disappointed. Firstly we couldn’t have a mixed grill because you had to pre-order! I understand pre ordering...maybe lobster etc but not a mixed grill, it’s pretty standard food choice. We ordered fillet steaks and whilst the meat was tasty the portion was small and the mushrooms were very oily. My husband ordered beef sandwich and chips , the beef was lovely, and we expected it served on ciabatta or hand cut thick bread, but disappointing came on a seeded burger bun that was dry.
