"This small carryout facility enjoys a good reputation with the (primarily) indigenous folk of The Hinch Town which is fair and just for on average a visit of say 5 minutes or so depending on how many citizens are waiting to acquire their coffee scone small tasties etc etc. Thus it is not on a level playing field with (by way of example purposes only and no more) the sit in eating establishments in the town of Ballynahinch. Reasons being such as. No table service and all that that entails. No washroom facility. SO IT IS THE CATEGORY LISTING ON TRIP ADVISOR THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. Hollys as a carryout venue is spot on and no more no less."

"At a birthday party for my grand daughter me , my wife and daughter were hungry so I looked for a cafe for something to eat , I must say I got the roast beef dinner meat was very tender, potatoes were creamy,and the vegetables and gravy were to die for my wife and daughter took the chicken wrap with chips and garlic potatoes absolutely beautiful they said there was so much food we all had a container full of our food to take home . The place was beautiful and clean and the service we got beat many hotels we’ve been at . If your looking for a birthday treat or valentines meal try it out we can’t recommend it enough"

"Today is June 21, 2020—Father's Day and my 16th wedding anniversary. My wife was in the mood for Chinese food, so we decided to visit Foo-Kwai. When I got home and lifted the paper bag out of the plastic, the handle broke right away. I called the restaurant to explain what had happened, and they simply asked what needed to be replaced—no questions asked. I was so impressed that I felt compelled to jump online and give them the 5-star review they truly deserve. Thank you, Foo-Kwai!"

"ON THE 30TH MARCH MY WIFE AND I HAD EVENING DINNER AT GILMORE RESTAURAN, I HAD RIB OF BEEF AND ORDERED PEAS AS AN EXTRA,MY WIFE HAD ROAST OF THE DAY WHICH WAS TURKEY AND HAM. WHEN MY MEAL ARRIVED IT CONSISTED OF A SMALL PIECE OF STRINGY MEAT PARTIALLY BURNT, WITH A LARGE BARE BONE APPROX, 100CM LONG BY 30 CM WIDE ON TOP OF THE MEAT. I ASKED THE WAITER THE REASON FOR THIS BONE AND HE SAID IT WAS FOR DECORATION, I WAS TOLD THAT NO PEAS WERE AVAILABLE. MY MEAL CONSISTED OF A PIECE OF STRINGY MEAT AND MASHED POTATOES NO VEGETABLES AND NO ROAST POTATOES. THE WAITER OFFERED TO REPLACE THE MEAL AND I REFUSED, THE REASON BEING IF THE CHEF COULDN'T COOK A PIECE OF MEAT AS DESCRIBED ON THE MENU THERE WAS NO POINT. MY WIFES MEAL CONSISTING OFF, ONE THIN PIECE OF OVERCOOKED TURKEY AND HAM 90 PER CENT OF THE MEAL CONSISTED OF VEGETABLES WITH A WHOLE CARROT CUT IN HALF ACCROSS THE MEAL. I CONTACTED THE HOTEL THE FOLLOWINF MONDAY AND SPOKE TO SIOBHAN WHO SAID FIONA IS THE MANGER AND WOULD MAKE CONTACT ME, THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED. WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE MEAL AS WE HAVE BEEN REGULAR CUSTOMERS WITH THE MILLBROOK FOR MANY YEARS. GEORGE PHYLLIS ."

"Went here during lockdown when only takeaway was permitted by law. I had a lemon meringue in the square outside with a decaf americano. It was aaaaaamazing! Hubby enjoyed his peanut butter and chocolate cookie sandwich and green tea. I took similar offering along with a couple of mince and onion pies to my parents who demolished them apparently . I got a couple of takeaway pies for ourselves. My mince and onion pie put me into pie heaven. My husband 's curry pie was good too. I 'm so pleased this whole place is 100% plant based. So none of those awkward discussions about what is vegan. So lovely that it supports people with learning challenges. Will definitely return. Dog friendly too. A lovely square just outside with benches to eat takeaway fare in. There will be seating indoors when permitted. Great place incorporating the little bearded baker. They are hoping to expand their opening hours in due course and also seem to have a menu for hot food. Update: Visited again. Indoor dining open. Plenty of space. Clean. Good loos. Friendly capable staff with excellent supervision to ensure everything is perfect. Huge menu. I had a Christmas type sandwich sourdough, stuffing, cranberry sauce etc, delish. Husband had a beyond burger. We shared a lotus swirl which was very sweet and fudgy and a salted caramel brownie heated with 'cream '. Everything was very filling and tasty. Quite a popular spot. Hopefully introducing plant based eating to people who might not otherwise wander into a vegan cafe. Very positive vibe from customers and staff alike. Wonderful spot. Can 't wait to visit again.
