"I used to use this pub/restaurant frequently in the past when it had previous owners. It is fairly local to me and on a wet Sunday decided to give it a try, The new owners had created a warm welcoming dining room aiming I guess...by the prices at the higher End which was fine. The staff was young and cheerful and we ordered the beef roast. It arrived quickly and looked delicious. The vegetables were fine ,however the roast potatoes were hard as rocks the steak was as tough as old boots and the majority was left. We did let our views known to the staff in a pleasant and courteous way after all not the waitresses fault. It appeared that other diners had made similar remarks. Apologies were made but no remedy offered. We passed on a pudding as the chef was having problems apparently experienced a problem with setting custard ,how very honest of the waitress.! No good having a lovely ambiance and trying to be high end when the food is not up to the same standard, very disappointed"

Lovely food, nice atmosphere. Seemed quite quiet for a Saturday night. The waiting staff were really friendly and we’d definitely return.

We eat out alot. Visited the Goudhurst Inn for lunch absolutely amazing food, lovely bottle of Merlot and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.

We came for lunch on Saturday to celebrate my son’s birthday. The pub was so welcoming and we all had such a great time. Michelle looked after us very well. Thank you for letting us bring a birthday cake!

We have been to this pub/ restaurant on several occasions now, The food has always been good and the service as well. We have taken friends and family here and they felt the same. My favourite meal was the pork belly, Delicious.

steak pie was ok when it was through the crust, but the pasta has not enough sauce. be careful if they only order a Sauvignon cut and do not specify any mark, they will receive a Balfour price on £13, which is ott. beautiful environment.

Called in, with friends, for a weekday lunch and an excellent lunch it was. The staff were welcoming and attentive. There was a good choice on the menu and diets were catered for. My wife is Gluten Free but this did not cause any problem....The service was efficient and timely. The food was tasty, plentiful and good value for money.

Reasonable local pub which serves decent pizzas. Menu routinely missing this and that and I’d certainly not order anything too ‘fancy’. But the service is so slow as to make the whole experience an absolute misery. This is not new and is entirely due to...a lack of staff. Ideally 24/7 Abba would also cease. Please please sort it out.

Have just returned from a meal here. Wow I wish I had read the reviews before going! We have eaten here many times in the past and the food has always been excellent but that was not the same today. Our mains were lamb and...ribeye steak which took ages to come out. The steak was the toughest I have ever tried to eat and at £28 I expected better.. My husband had a quite word with a member of staff and asked for it to be taken back. I reordered the chicken dish with satay sauce this again took ages to come out there was no apology it didn't seem to bother them. The chicken was just ok nothing special. Our bill was £110 so not a cheap eat (and I wasn't drinking as I was driving) Will be giving...
