This is our second time dining here while staying at a nearby Premier Inn. During our first visit, I enjoyed the best tuna Niçoise salad I've had outside of France, while my husband savored some delicious ribs. This time, we tried the Sunday roast, which was also outstanding. My husband was particularly impressed by their extensive selection of beers, and the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a wonderful place to relax. If we lived in the area, this would surely be our local spot.

I recently visited the Griffin for a Sunday roast with my family, and unfortunately, it wasn't worth the money. The meat, particularly the beef, was severely undercooked, and even the roast pork had a red center. The roast potatoes, intended to be crispy, were heavily salted but still raw in the middle. The vegetables were decent; it's hard to go wrong with them. However, the gravy was disappointing—it was already poured on the plate and had the consistency of tap water, leaving all the food swimming in it.
