Great place to go and have a few drinks in the sunshine...and the get a Chinese to eat there or takeaway. Highly recommended.

Excellent, comfy cost pub with log fires and a good choice of ales and wines. Friendly welcoming staff make the visits a pleasure.

Fantastic local pub! Now under new management and such an improvement from before. It has a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere and is now child friendly. Can't recommend enough if you fancy a drink in a proper local country pub.

Absolutely beautiful 26th Century building, we stayed overnight as attending a funeral. Room was spacious and bed comfortable, en suite had a fab shower. Enjoyed our stay and the on-site Chinese takeaway was an inspired bonus, the pub offered facilities to 'eat in ' too! Would definitely recommend!

I can only comment on the takeaway aspect as I've never sat in the pub for a drink. It does look like a very cosy place to have a drink, though. The takeaway is Chinese, and it's a great place to eat. We've collected and also had food delivered. Delivery can be a bit expensive so we now collect it which isn't too bad. We booked in for one night and decided we would definitely come back. This is a lovely village, beautiful Cotswold stone cottages, lots of footpaths around. The pub is a fantastic building, full of nooks and crannies. On Tuesdays the kitchen is shut but there's a mobile food van serving pizza and crepes. Our room was warm and comfortable. A good choice of beers and wines and lots of board games available. The landlord and his family have recently taken over the pub and doing a great job

Just dreadful we had booked two single rooms at £65 each for the night when we arrived and checked in we were told that one room was £65 and the other £80 after being showed the the confirmation booking invoice they adjusted the price! One room was so cold and had a green exit light illuminated in it I’m not sure why! The other room had loud music playing above it for the entire night! Breakfast was a complete shambles and the coffee cups provided were filthy! Would I stay again…absolutely not!

Been to this place many times over two decades. Has a good bar and some nice people too. Went in recently and they have a wide selection of beers, ciders, and even Cotswolds whisky Gin. Three things I feel they should bring back from years gone by: 1. Karaoke (Singstar or otherwise). 2. The lit fireplace was always lovely and warm. 3. The Jukebox. 4. The Kiwi barstaff I don't know why the exchanges stopped, but the Kiwi barstaff really added something. 5. The pool table in the western room (the one surrounded by car park). Oh, and one new thing: build a bike shelter. Whilst most country folk are drivers, I, for one, cycled in and had to re engineer it to fit a drainpipe. Either way: still... Visualizza piatti
