Second time in a month here with a group of friends for dinner , great food , great place , all loved it and would all come back

the hope has a beautiful atmosphere, feels very welcoming when they board, the workers were attentive, without being pestering, eating was delicious and good worth.

Have used the Hope for several lunches with work colleagues, and visitors, and have received great foot and excellent service each time. The menu kept everyone happy and the platters can be thoroughly recommended!

Can't fault this place for beer, wine or cocktails. The staff are great, very friendly and efficient. The food is very good gastro pub, and excellent value. Tucked away in Hope street, can be very busy at peak times, but nice and relaxed at others. A regular if when I am in Glasgow

I had a fabulous lazy Sunday afternoon catch up with friends here recently and was very impressed. Staff were lovely. The food took almost an hour to come but this was not an issue under the circumstances. When it did come my sea bass with sautéed potatoes and chorizo was outstanding. We went to The Hope for my husband's birthday lunch. He started with mussels and loved them. For his main, he had the sea bass which he also recommends. I had the chicken tempura and the homemade burger, both of which I would also recommend. We had a few drinks during and after the meal, all at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were helpful. I would definitely recommend The Hope for a great dining experience.

The food at this restaurant is really good and the staff is friendly. However, we were disappointed with the service and seating. We arrived at 12pm and received our main courses 45 minutes later (understandable as there were 7 of us). No one came to clear our plates or offer dessert menus. As we were in a rush to attend a show at the SSE Hydro, we asked for the bill and left without ordering desserts, even though we had booked our table well in advance for a 2-course meal. There seemed to be a shortage of staff working, and the restaurant was packed with diners. We booked The Hope for a family get together, it's really close to Central Station therefore it was convenient for everyone to meet there for lunch! When I was looking in to booking something for us I checked the website and it said the pub was family friendly, perfect as we were bringing our wee boy! Disappointed however when we were ordering food to discover that there was no children's menu! The staff serving our table were very nice and although a bit slow in getting the food orders they were on hand to take our drinks orders right away!
