"Lovely to be greeted and showed to our table and so impressed that the chef had gone to the trouble of doing me a separate Vegan menu! We were sat by the door which was very cold couldn't really be helped and apparently we were meant to have a different table.Service was ok, but slow and the Pizza's that we ordered were forgotten about and only when I asked about them about minutes after the rest of our food had arrived were they cooked. No apology was made for this. The Kitchen is a lovely place and we will definitely be back to give them another go"

Great service and happy staff! We had pizza, very reasonably priced and tasty but meal was very small and toppings were sparse. Still delicious and fresh. We would recommend and return. Thank you x

Great family gettogether, the staff were very helpful as we had in the party but we were all catered for without fuss. We had brunch, which was well presented and tasty, great value for money and staff were very attentive too. Delightful town centre small restaurant catering for breakfastbrunch, lunch and now open on some evenings. Added bonus, they have wood fired pizza oven too. Well balanced menu to choose from and specials board. Food is delicious and well presented.Staff are friendly and welcoming, service is prompt. Lovely atmosphere

We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There were only a handful of tables busy but it still had an inviting and cosy feel to it. The pizzas were great and the choice of homemade cakes and puddings for dessert was amazing! I recommend the gluten free courgette and avocado cake yum! The staff were also incredibly accommodating in seating us at a table large enough for our daughter to sleep in her buggy alongside. A great place if you want somewhere cosy to have pizza and hold a conversation without being drowned out by noise

"Ate in the restaurant here on Saturday night and it was so lovely. V friendly waitress (ginger girl). Had the steak and ale pie (LOADS of onions, not much steak and a lot of pastry so bear this in mind if you want a meat heavy pie but the few chunks that were in there were v tender). But the veg that came with the pie was delicious, not overdone like most pub meals! My friend had the pork belly bao burger. She said the meat was really nice, but the whole thing a bit too tangy? The fries were v good. We shared the kinder cookie dough dessert but it was a bit overdone, more of a cookie than cookie dough. Wish we got the Biscoff bread and butter pudding! But it’s a really nice pub, the Malbec was delicious and was bustling on a rainy sat night."

"Firstly, I 'll say that the restaurant area was lovely if a little cold (it was a very cold day! . Likewise, staff were all friendly. They couldn 't offer tea or coffee due to the pipes having frozen but could offer hot chocolate, so no big deal. The reason I 'm giving this two stars when it could easily be four or five is simple: I was made to feel like my custom didn 't matter. My daughter had the kids breakfast, my wife had the eggs royale and I had the main breakfast. I don 't like beans or eggs, never have and never will! I asked if, as I was wasn 't having beans or eggs, whether I could have an extra rasher of bacon. I was told that they could add any additional meat, but they could add on more toast or hash browns. Fair enough. I asked for a hash brown instead, and the waitress said 'do you want two? ' Yes please. Two minutes later, the waitress came back and told me that the person in the kitchen (I assume either the chef or the owner said that I could only have one harsh brown, and would I like to pay for the other one?! I declined paying for one as politely as I could muster. Honestly, it isn 't the hash brown itself, it 's the principle here. I was made to feel like my custom didn 't matter. An extra hash brown would have cost next to nothing certainly not more than the eggs and baked beans I 'd omitted. It 's such a simple thing, but coming back to the table to tell me I could only have one felt demeaning quite frankly, especially as the waitress herself had suggested it! The breakfast was nice but the flippant treatment ruined the vibes for me. Customer care matters!"

"I had a very welcoming experience as soon as I entered the restaurant. The staff were friendly and even acknowledged our dog warmly, giving him treats. The dinner was outstanding and served promptly. It was hot and tasty, and the prices were reasonable. We had a great family dinner and there was plenty of parking at the back of the restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"Plenty of parking available. We have visited this restaurant twice in the past three days, which speaks volumes about how much we enjoyed our meals. Both times, the food was excellent. The first night, we ordered from the main menu and were impressed with the great selection and our delicious choices. Tonight, we had a set meal for a group of 24 and everyone enjoyed their excellent steak. The service was top-notch, with all meals being served together and everyone leaving with clean plates. A big thank you to Poachers (and Dom) for the great experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and cozy, making everyone feel right at home.
