The Langford Inn, Pub

I had a chicken roast and my wife had a beef roast, after waiting more than 30 minutes for it, it was lukewarm dry and over cooked, I think that it had been in the warmer for some time. We will not be returning

Booked an early dinner for 2 families on Sunday evening and delighted with everything. The food was of an extremely high standard and service just right. Butcombe ales on tap as expected and decent wine list. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub ! Food good and ambience .Nice location in a pretty village . Good room clean and quiet. Unfortunately though the tv signal kept breaking up and the WiFi kept dropping off we did report it and thought maybe we should have a little reduction but the very nice receptionist said she would tell the manager later when they arrived . Overall though a good experience

Absolutely amazing restaurant to dine at. Fantastic service, food was brilliant. Me and my wife came down to visit Langford for the weekend and we stayed in the inn. Clean, well equipped. Housekeepers are attentive. Since the takeover of new management november ish. They've really exceeded expectations. Will definitely be back and 100% recommend The Langford inn to anybody thinking about going

My wife and I recently attended the supper club evening at this restaurant and we were extremely impressed. The Langford serves craft beer from the Butcombe brewery along with delicious craft food. The dishes were creative, tasty, well-prepared, and served by friendly staff. We have also visited for Sunday lunch, and the restaurant excels in their offerings on that day as well. Despite the high turnover of customers, we were warmly welcomed, had a great table, and enjoyed impeccable food served with sincerity. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I had a three night stay at the Langford Inn and ate in the restaurant every evening. The food was fantastic, tasty and creative, the staff were accommodating and friendly giving an almost at home feel. The rooms are cosy with everything that one would need and the breakfasts were again , creative and tasty. I would recommend this pub and the restaurant to anyone that loves food, has dietary requirements and wants to feel very well looked after. Also the beer was good, cocktails were also fantastic. As good if not better than the Ivy! 10/10 and can’t wait to return.

Absolutely gorgeous room and food was lovely, although maybe a tad overpriced. We stayed in the Langford Suite which was apparently the “nicest” of the lot. Upon entering the room we could see how nice it was. However, once we checked out the bathroom we noticed that this hadn’t been cleaned properly, if at all. There was still somebody’s else’s No.2 left in the toilet which was absolutely vile! Not only that but there was only a slither of toilet paper left. I did immediately pop down to explain how lovely the place was but also what we had just found. A man did come out a put some bleach down the loo and was apologetic and explained that they were 1 cleaner down that day!? Not much of an e...

Once our food arrived, it was underwhelming and cold, especially considering the price. My chicken was dry, and when I asked about a missing item on my plate, I was told I was mistaken. My husband had to send his meal back to be reheated, which took so long that we didn't all eat together. We had to go up to the bar to pay the bill, and I double-checked the menu to confirm that I was indeed not mistaken about the missing item. The staff agreed to take the service charge off the bill, but the main issue was the quality of the food. My experience at the Langford restaurant for Sunday dinner was not good. We were a group of five and encountered issues from the start. We waited at the bar for over ten minutes without being served, and had to seek out a staff member to inquire about our table. My £22 roast beef was served lukewarm, and after requesting it to be reheated, it took five minutes and still wasn't returned to me. The cauliflower cheese was also lukewarm, bordering on cold. My wife's roast chicken was missing the sage sausage roll, and when we mentioned this to the manager, he insisted it was not supposed to come with anything.
