Booked in early so no issue with getting a table, Food wasn't bad but a tad expensive for what it was. Also had to wait almost an hour for our mains when the starters arrived quite promptly so not a great experience overall Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

The Sunday carvery was lovely. Well presented and plenty of it. The staff behind the bar serving drinks were quite slow in realising people were waiting to be served,and when they did serve people, they didn't come across as being happy to be there. Went twice only ate once. 1st time Had no problem with the food, service was non existent. 2nd time says breakfast served till 1130am online. We was in restaurant at 1050 no service, went up to order at 11.05am and the lady said “only serve till 11 it should say 11 online it must be an error”. She wouldn’t cook us 2 sausage barms so had to go back to the caravan for the car and head out off site for breakfast. Not ideal. Also dead fly’s all over the window sill, dreadful

We came to enjoy a final family meal at the mash and barrel in greeancres on the final night before our departure home. Despite the restaurant being half empty we had to come back in half an hour because we hadn't pre-booked a table. The service was ok and the food didn't take long to arrive. The ultimate burger was great but the chicken burger was so dry and chewy as were the kids chicken nuggets, my daughter and granddaughter were unable to eat it. The food portions were generous enough but there was no option to take away any food we couldn't finish at the time (in short we were supposed to pay for food to be thrown away). Mash and Barrel was a lovely place to go and eat. They're currently only serving on a booked table basis so you have to book prior to going. The staff then choose you a table and it's full table service. Staff are polite and regularly check on you. Food was great and didn't look like it came out of a microwave which you find at some pub food serving restaurants. It was all homemade and presented beautifully. They are amazing at making adjustments (swapping bits of meals to better suit) We visited twice during our stay at Haven Greenacres and I would have loved to try more off the Menu as everything we had we thoroughly enjoyed!!
