"We stopped by this pub for a drink and potentially some food, as they advertised both. We enjoyed sitting in the nice outdoor area with our Daschund. After a long journey from Lincolnshire and needing food and drink for my diabetes, we were disappointed to find out that they had nothing available for food. We were served lager shandies that were mostly lemonade, and were charged £15.40 for two drinks and a couple of packets of crisps. The lemonade was Tesco Value and the landlady tried to hide the label from us. It was a busy summer afternoon, but there were only three couples sitting outside. It's a shame as it has the potential to be a great environment, but we will not be returning."

After seeing pictures we decided to try this pub-it is a local pub but the smell of fish was overwhelming when we arrived.

Ordinary pub serving good homemade food with fresh ingredients. Staff were friendly and they are dog friendly. Plenty of seating outside. Certainly didn’t go hungry! Visualizza piatti

Lovely little find! Great staff and reasonable prices. Good place for lunch and catch up with old friends. Great location only a short walk from the main village which hosts some lovely little shops

Visited here a couple of years ago, and had a great time good food, reasonable prices and good atmosphere. What a change, and none of it good. Limited and 'fancy ' menu, silly prices(£10 for a sandwich?? and no atmosphere. I can only assume they are trying to become a 'trendy ' pub !! Sorry to say, I will not be returning.

I don't think I have ever paid to stay in a room that was so tired and dirty. It was a huge disappointment. There was black mold on the walls and windows, the shower and grout were black, the bed was soft and the sheets were old. The carpet was stained and the walls were scuffed. There was a big gap under the door, and the furniture was weak and worn out. The staff in the bar were very friendly and the food was decent, although not incredible. This was definitely not what I would picture a country inn to be like. Visualizza piatti

A lovely pub. A little cold inside, not in terms of temperature, but instead in terms of decor thin wooden chairs and tables, a bit like a cafe. However, we went outside into the garden and it was fabulous. What seemed like new booths, and the food was really good. We had the prawn and steak sandwiches. Prawn amazing. Steak didn’t have very much… steak!! We paid an extra £1.50 as we asked for a beef sandwich but they had run out. We got some tiny slithers of steak, so this could be improved. However, portions were good, chips delicious and fab service. Would recommend!!

We visited the restaurant on a quiet night, as it was only the second day under new management. My husband enjoyed his burger, but my lasagne was barely edible and didn't resemble a traditional lasagne at all. The mince used in the dish had a strange texture and taste, which the landlady explained was due to using steak mince that became too soft when boiled. Boiling mince for a lasagne seemed unusual to me, as I typically use lean mince with no issues. The chef may want to try some new recipes and avoid a potential disaster. Overall, we are unlikely to return to this restaurant.

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."
