"I usually enjoy my breakfasts here but today was not one of those occasions. Would prefer traditionally British cut bacon than the American streaky stuff but hey. Tasty sausages. Fluffy pancakes. Mushrooms were full of water and not much flavour. Not sure if the tomato was meant to be grilled, fried or what but it seemed pretty fresh. I was mostly disappointed with the amount of oil that was on the plate. It was clean oil at least but even still a couple of seconds to drain/rest/dry would have been better than what I was presented with. I wasn’t sure of the extent but when I lifted the bowl my beans were in, it was quite clear as it was dripping heavily and whilst trying to take a photo, inadvertently dripped it onto my trousers. Overall, today was a bit of a shame really because I usually enjoy the food here but just not today. Parking: Plenty of parking. Roughly 12-14 car spaces. Can sometimes be busy with bikers but they’re generally very accommodating and will relocate some bikes to allow space for cars to get in."

"We come here quite often and as we had friends visiting we came on the Saturday and Sunday. Food was amazing as always but disappointed there was some discrepancy between the menu and the kitchen waiting staff for allergy information. Some things on the menu said no dairy ingredients but got differing information from the waiter and kitchen. The waiter even made us feel like an inconvenience and a nuisance for checking items that arrived with our meal that seemed certain to have dairy in them, which upon checking with the kitchen they did. He took it away to be changed but he may of well thrown it at us when he brought the replacement : The waitress on Saturday was friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. The waiter needs to take a leaf out of her book! He changed his manner and attitude when it came to paying the bill, was chatty and couldn’t do enough, obviously wanted a tip, he was left wanting. Overall, lovely pub and food, just please make sure your menu is correct and staff are clued up on allergies. It makes such a massive difference, and a more pleasant experience when you aren’t ill after eating :"

"This is a fantastic country pub with an excellent allergen menu that covers the entire menu. The food is really delicious and well-prepared, and they offer a great selection of local real ales. I was fortunate to take some photos during my visit. For those with dietary restrictions, the allergen information is top-notch, with calorie counts clearly displayed. It's also kid-friendly; we brought our 6-month-old and found that high chairs were available. The price per person is around £30–40. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5."

"We opted for takeout because the restaurant was busy. We don't usually eat here often because it's quite expensive, but we have always enjoyed the food in the past. Unfortunately, this time we were very disappointed. The diced chicken in the korma was large chunks of meat and the portion was stingy. The rice was good, but the garlic naan bread was overcooked and soggy. I was expecting better quality for the price. Maybe they don't put as much effort into takeaway orders. We will not be coming back."

"Haven’t been here for many years so wanted to try it out again after seeing good reviews. My husband and I had originally booked for our anniversary dinner but ended up eating out at lunch that day instead so changed the booking for my birthday meal with our sons a few days later. Not sorry we didn’t go for anniversary as ambiance was very lacking. Lights were very bright and did not feel in the least romantic. Which really surprised me. But food was mostly very nice. Service was good and attentive. The starters were good, whitebait, bruschetta, and prawns in a chilli tomato sauce being the favourites. I had the Avocado Mamma Mia which was ok but very heavy on the Avocado compared to the small amount of prawns and smoked salmon. Out of the four main meals, the two pasta dishes were the least enjoyed due to ‘lack of flavour’ but I enjoyed the fillet of beef medallions in peppercorn sauce and one of my sons enjoyed his risotto then finished off Dad’s leftover seafood pasta. Desserts were lovely. Profiteroles, honeycomb cheesecake and vanilla gelato. No complaints there! I didn’t see the bill but I imagine it wasn’t cheap. We had one bottle of Pinot and I had a glass of the delicious dessert wine. Other than that we all just drank water which may have kept the price down just a little. Overall a nice evening was had. Would I rush back? Probably not anytime very soon as there are other places I’d like to try. But I’m glad we gave it a go."
