"Our roast dinners and tapas were cooked to perfection; you would have to travel far and wide to find food that rivals this! As people who frequently dine out, both nationally and internationally, we feel fortunate to have such an excellent restaurant within just a five-minute walk from home. Bravo, Bandhouse! Everything is just right, and we even spotted a staff member from Varini here tonight, along with what seemed to be a new guy from Liverpool who was great as well!"

We 've been eating here for 2yrs now. Its our favourite place to eat in Wigan and district. Staff very friendly and welcoming... But the kicker is, that the food exceptional....I echo someone else 's review.... never been disappointed with any of the dishes Talented chefs !!!!.... Strongly recommend. "Been here tonight with 6 adults and 5 children for a Family celebration. I dropped the cake and banners off the night before and they sorted everything out ready for us to arrive. We use amigos alot when we have family occasions as there is a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Especially the Manager who is always brilliant with the children and he is always very chatty and assertive. Cannot recommend the place enough. The food is always amazing and we always feel comfortable and at ease with their patients when eating with small children. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"Last minute decision to go for a carvery at the Bucks Head. Didn't book, arrived at 1pm and we were easily seated at a table for two. Ordered 2 medium carveries with beef and pork. Plenty on the plates, just right for us, we cleared our plates not a morsel left. Finished with Apple crumble and custard. We thought the meal was excellent value."

"Surprise waiting inside as exterior unique with a small car park, once entering greeted by a very pleasant waitress really friendly and professional, two others waiting on, and serving drinks extremely attentive, excellent food and very child friendly good menu not excessive but just right, Nice wines and selection of spirits not a large selection of beers but decent quality food was very nicely presented and again good quality and cooked perfect we all had a variety of dishes not kept waiting at all very attentive staff excellent place to dine out usual prices which is fine when there's a decent chef and good quality food Vegetarian options: Good quality vegan meals, alsi asked us about food allergies which is good to see Dietary restrictions: As I've mentioned staff make sure dietary requirements are met more than adequate Kid-friendliness: Nine year old girl loved the menu and food ate more than me Wheelchair accessibility: Out the car into the door can't say much better than that"

"We waited for 25 minutes for our sandwiches to come out, only to realize they were filled with the wrong ingredients. When I mentioned this to the young girl serving us, she was very argumentative and insisted that I had ordered the wrong filling. This all happened in front of my 4-year-old son. Eventually, she took the sandwiches back and we finally got the correct filling, but the whole ordeal was disappointing. As someone in the catering business myself, I believe that the customer is always right and arguing with them is not the way to handle a situation like this. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant. My advice would be to carefully choose your staff members and perhaps opt for more mature individuals."

"We booked a table here for my dad’s birthday, 6 adults and 2 children. Service was poor. It took over one hour and we’d only eaten our starters, food was slow. Food was brought out at different time. Children’s starters were forgotten (garlic bread) and never brought out or even acknowledged they were forgotten. Children’s meals were slow coming out, so we were sat waiting around to eat. Then after desserts were brought out, we were quickly ushered out and we were told to pay up as the next table were stood waiting at the bar area, we would’ve finished quicker if service had been faster! Never asked once if we would like any more drinks. Children from another table were running around screaming and nothing was done about it, one couple left due to this. What was supposed to be a special night, didn’t turn out so special! We paid over £200 and it definitely wasn’t worth it."
