"The storehouse is a lovely pub /restaurant on the site of amble links Northumberland. We decided to go for a meal prior to ending our holiday on 4th April. Unfortunately l wasn't allowed to eat anything solid due to an operation I'd had two weeks earlier. My sister and her son had a lovely meal, l explained to staff that l would need to have something either blended (they didn't have a blender) so l chose mashed potato, soft vegetables which l could mash with a fork and gravy. The mashed potatoes were rubbery and the vegetables were far from soft so that put paid to my meal as l couldn't eat it. The girl serving was really lovely about situation but the men cooking in the kitchen should be ashamed of themselves. On a brighter note, my sister and her son enjoyed their meals. I can't understand why a kitchen wouldn't have a blender, I'm sure Gordon ramsay has one in his kitchen. Had they had one l would have been able to choose any meal."

We are regulars but we had friends over from Canada and they were very impressed, especially with the size of portions !

Had no record of our booking. Ended up getting our own menus was half an hour before someone took our order. Food was nice. Was quite busy not enough staff.

Excellent Sunday lunch fantastic value for money plenty other choices from the menu if not wanting a Sunday lunch, service and staff always friendly and welcoming. Lovely pub to

We traveled a long distance only to find out that the restaurant only served carvery, which was not what we were looking for when we chose this place to dine. The carvery was simple and cold, and we had to go through two doors to reach our table in the dining room.

Although I have recommended this restaurant, there are a few issues that need addressing. I booked through OpenTable, but when I arrived, my reservation was not in their system. The menu was completely different from the one on the website. I had to wait for about 5 minutes before anyone greeted me, and there were not enough staff on a busy Saturday night to accommodate the number of people in the restaurant.

The restaurant was clean and pleasant to dine in, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the online menu did not match the menu they were currently serving, as their usual chef was on holiday. This was disappointing as I had chosen my dishes based on the online menu, and there were only 3 starters to choose from with no sign of the scallops I had been looking forward to. I wish I had known in advance that the menu changed frequently.

Ignore the rating and recommend a friend as I am unable to rate. Turned up and the table had not been booked. Although I had my confirmation email there were no tables available. There were grandparents with us and we had to venture out to find somewhere else to eat which was not really practical. Grandparents which are on timed medication which have to be taken with food which made this delayed. However we did manage to find a restaurant to eat in but obviously was not ideal when we planned to eat here at this time. Thanks.
