"Enjoyable visit overall and food was good, Paticularly the mushroom starter. We came as a group of four and a baby to celebrate a birthday. There wasn’t much space for the pram tables quite close together and our table was up a few steps, but we managed. We felt a bit rushed as we had booked for 1pm and were unaware that the carvery closed at 2pm we were spoken to by a member of staff and it came across a little rude. We had a lovely meal overall the bar staff were particularly friendly and helpful which made it a lovely experience. Menu items were pricier than expected as our friends had been before and the prices had significantly increased from what they remembered for the same meals. That being said, there was a varied set menu option for a smaller budget. Overall pleased with our visit and would likely visit again for a special occasion."

Most of the meal was very good in our group of 5 however twice my burger came out dry and/or overcooked. Would not recommend the burgers however everything else was lovely.

We enjoyed the plaice and chips with was as good as could be, faultless, in fact. This was followed by apple crumble and ice cream with was very good. The service was good and friendly. Visualizza piatti

The food was excellent with the exception of the dessert. I had the lemon meringue pie which was very heavy perhaps there was too much gelatin in the lemon layer and the meringue was solid too! Poor quality ice cream.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The plaice and chips were excellent, cooked perfectly without any errors. We also enjoyed the apple crumble and ice cream, which were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic overall, but unfortunately the dessert was a bit lacking. I ordered the lemon melody and found it to be quite heavy, perhaps due to an excess of gelatin in the lemon layer and a solid meringue. The ice cream was also of poor quality. Visualizza piatti

Would have given five stars if it wasn't for the state of the carpet throughout the pub it was absolutely filthy and disgusting for God's sake get it cleaned or replaced it was horrible the food was very good the service was very good everything else was fantastic but when you walk in and see this disgusting stain ridden carpet it puts people off

I would have given this restaurant five stars if it weren't for the filthy and disgusting condition of the rug throughout the entire establishment. It was terrible and in desperate need of cleaning or replacing. However, the food was excellent, the service was great, and everything else about the place was fantastic. Unfortunately, the sight of the torn and dirty carpet was a major turn-off.
