"Delicious steak of many different kinds can be had here as well as some tasty sides and desserts. Could be improved by having a wider range of low/no alcohol beer and giving a bit more sauce with the steak. It costs £3 extra to have a sauce so I think you should get a bit more than a tiny dish that many pubs would give you free ketchup/mayo in. Overall it's nice ambience and good cuisine but a bit variable on the value you get depending on what you order. Walkability: Easy to walk to from nearby bus routes and the train station. Fantastic accommodation, friendly staff, amazing food and only 10 minutes from the train station. We stayed for 2 nights and were thoroughly impressed by the facilities, sevice standard and breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend!

I had high expectations after reading the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent, friendly, relaxed but attentive service and the food was top notch. When you’re paying this much for steak it needs to be good and it really was. Highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

It was ok. For some reason our booking wasn't recorded but not an issue as they accommodated us with no delay. Which was nice. Food was just ok. I found my steak to be chewy. So did my partner. Our friend had a better luck but hers was more cooked so maybe we should have it done more. Place seemed very quiet and somehow cold in appearance. Just wished steaks were better. As a South African meat lover I had yet to find an excellent steak restaurant near me. That changed on Fridday when we visited The Porterhouse. The atmosphere and decor is intimate and tasteful but the food is the real star of the show. There were 4 of us and we selected the Porterhouse for 3 (as that is what was available) and a Chateaubriand for 2. Both were cooked to perfection. My pepper sauce was excellent and the sides were too. We will definitely be back. Service: 5 Location: 5
