The Potting Shed Cafe

Overpriced for less than average food, four plates of light lunch salads all pretty poor, tasteless, overcooked plus one coffee and a milkshake .just under £60. Have had nice meals here previously but won’t be going anymore.

My friend’s I regularly meet up for lunches it’s the perfect place for us, fantastic food, friendly staff, very accommodating. We enjoying our get together a in a great environment, with no pressure to move on when we have those extra cuppas. Thank-you for looking after us

Once again a lovely meal at Bay View,Garden Centre restaurant. The food is obviously made fresh . I had quiche one of my favourites. As well as lovely tasty filling, the pastry is lovely and crisp. The staff as always were attentive, friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.

We arrived for some lunch, poor communication to get seated she really couldn’t be bothered 20 minutes wait no one had come to take our order despite people arriving after us and getting their orders taken and drinks arriving at their tables We gave up us trying to get the staff attention and left .A lot of staff and no interest or organisation Been here before and never had this problem I hope this was just a one-off

My wife and her friend went shopping in the garden centre then decided to go into the restaurant. Apparently they went in the wrong entrance bad mistake staff ignored them when they tried to get their attention and there were plenty of empty tables which they quickly started putting reserved on. No service so they found the menus again no one bothered serving them. Not a nice way to treat a disabled customer who only wanted something to drink and eat after spending a substantial amount of money on plants. Very disappointed

Sea views good menu plenty of choices the food was very nicely prepared and well presented, The ham and eggs where delicious, it was busy but service was fast, staff very efficient friendly and professional dogs are welcome in a covered area outside perfect as dogs can watch owners eat ' ' outside ' ' at last a cafe that does not let animals inside The Midland Hotel can learn a lot from this Cafe. The Manager at Bay View garden Centre cafe has his eye firmly on the ball we had a lovely experience and was very happy to pay for it.

I visited here with my friend on a Thursday afternoon for coffee and cake. The restaurant was not busy and the tables at the back of the restaurant were all empty. We went to sit at one, but was ordered to sit elsewhere as apparently that area is for people having afternoon tea. Now as there was no one sitting at these tables, it would seem rather high handed and unnecessary. We found a nearby table and placed our order. The lemon and blueberry cake was sickly sweet, but there was very limited choice for a vegan. I was also surprised to see 40p was added to the bill for a splash of oat milk for my tea. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We visited on a drizzly dull day with our dog, and as expected, we had to sit in the outdoor dining area. There are only 3 sides to this area, so the outer tables and chairs were wet. We waited for a dry table to come free, and we sat down. Then we waited and waited at a table that wasn't cleared from the previous diners. Eventually, we managed to ask a staff member to clear the table for us. Then we waited again for around 15 mins before anyone came to take a drink and food order. It was as if we were the forgotten customers because we were sat outside. We could see people inside who had arrived after us being served before we were. The food wasn't all that good when it finally arrived and...

This is the 3rd time I 've visited. After today, its likely to be the last. We waited to be seated longer than I would have expected in light of how quiet the place was. So much so that other people started to Q behind us, creating a bottleneck with people leaving. On being seated, we waited again excessive time to be served. When we were eventually served, we ordered tea for both of us and cake. The tea came quickly. But unfortunately, the cakes appeared to have gone AWOL. We waited. And waited.
