Toll House - Menu

Enjoyed the chicken burger. Go hungry as it's large, perhaps a different plate would be better as l found it difficult to eat as it was on rather a small one. Very near the hospital so a good place for a bite if you are visiting someone.

Walked in and it looked really nice but then I was told that I couldn't order any food until half an hour later. I thought this was odd because it was empty. Even half an hour later it was even more empty. We didn't last long in there anyway because a rat ran past us in the courtyard where we were sitting. We left almost immediately.

THANKYOU to the amazing staff at this lovely pub and hotel. My step-dad took ill on holiday and we had to find a place to stay after he was discharged from the (nearby! hospital. The hotel did all they could to help, with early check in, a reserved parking space and rooms next door to each other. Great food too. Look forward to visiting again in happier times.

I had a hard time deciding what to order because there were so many enticing vegan options! In the end, I chose the vegan kebab and was not disappointed at all. The portion sizes were satisfying and the food was definitely worth the price. I also had the crumb with custard for dessert, which was delicious. This restaurant is perfect for both vegans and non-vegans and I highly recommend it to everyone due to their extensive menu. I suggest making a reservation as it seems to be a popular spot.

All of the staff I have interacted both on this visit and others previously have been incredibly helpful and attentive. I even asked to use the toilets as I went to collect my bag yesterday before my journey home and the staff fetched it for me! Breakfast has always been absolutely faultless, as has the cleanliness and services/facilities in the rooms. Spacious, clean, professional, and the coffee machine in the room was an extra-luxurious touch! Will continue to use this hotel on any future visits to Lancaster!

Very enjoyable overall, staff friendly and helpful; a couple of requests regarding the room were dealt with promptly and with total satisfaction. The menu is good; the only reservation I have is that the regular portions are far too big for me and even a 'small ' portion was too much. The room was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped, with an extra chair and a small dressing table mirror being provided on request, together with a stool in the wet room. I was very impressed by the double glazing which cut out most of the noise from the busy road that we overlooked.

My 2nd stay at the Toll House. Both times I have had 5 star experiences. The staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The food is amazing and I can recommend the beef taco starter, the sea bass, and fillet steak main courses. They have 4 great ales on from Thwaites brewery that are kept to perfection. The bar also has draft beers and the usual fridge stocked bottled ciders, tonics and juices. There is also a good selection of spirits. The air conditioned rooms are large and very clean with good amenities and en-suite bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. Stayed overnight and had a lovely experience. As I am disabled we were thrilled to see a working lift to the second floor. Our room was cosy with a walk in shower as we had requested. There was a kettle and amongst others, Taylor 's coffee sachets. In the shower there were lovely 'White ' toiletries and fluffy towels. The Restaurant was roomy and airy and the food was delicious, hot to the table. The menu was varied and hard to choose from as everything sounded delicious.
