"This is more than a pub, it's the heart of our local community. Not only is the food really, really yummy, the owners are kind, considerate, welcoming and fun. They cater as a matter of course for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions, which is much appreciated! We're delighted that they're out local and our friends love eating there too. In the few months my husband and I have been living nearby they've made sure we were welcome and would meet our neighbours, and I've even seen them go out of their way to reunite stray dogs with their owners. Also, there's the most fantastic professional-looking homemade knitwear occasionally available there... Well worth a visit!"

NOT dog friendly One of the rudest landlords I have ever had the misfortune to meet, run more like a prison camp. Food very average. AVOID

If walking and camping I wouldn't bother pining any hopes on a stay at Red Lion, Brinkley. Supposedly a campsite but only when the owner doesn't want to use their garden.. Anyhow, a lovely pub in the next village was more than accommodating. They let me camp in their garden which has never been advertised as a campsite.. Visualizza piatti

I had made a reservation for a party of 8 at 12 pm. Unfortunately, we arrived late and our group size decreased to 6. However, the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. The menu offered a variety of options, from sandwiches to smaller meals in baskets, to sausage and mash. We had two young children with us and every effort was made to accommodate them.

During my stay at the Pubs campsite, I was pleased with the surroundings. The evening meal was excellent and the service was top-notch. They even provided me with a phone charger so I could charge my phone while I ate! The Pub serves brunch on Sundays, starting at 10:30, but I was served a delicious breakfast at 09:00 which I really enjoyed. I would not hesitate to recommend the Red Lion and am looking forward to my next visit.

I cannot praise Morris and Gwyn enough for their exceptional hospitality. The food was delicious, as it always is, and the service was friendly, attentive, and truly outstanding. Thank you both for making our dining experience so memorable. Even though we don't live nearby, we make sure to visit a few times a year because we are always treated so warmly and thoroughly enjoy the food and atmosphere. Thank you again for a wonderful evening. Visualizza piatti

Very disappointed after all the good reviews read. Takeaway was very bland and not very good portion sizes. I wound advise against the pie! The g/f version was supposed to be in a brioche bun but was in a warburtons thin! Have had to now put bits in the oven as my guests are still hungry The woman didn’t have any social skills when I collected the food she didn’t want to make conversation. Will not use again even though we are very local!

We wanted a pub meal a few beers and camping and fell on our feet here. Morris and his wife are excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. You had a sense that everything was going to be OK and if there was an issue Morris would sort it. We went to an Air show in Duxford and used the pub as the stop over as they offer camping. Had a steak meal and starter. All well cooked and truly had a lovely time. Great local beer. We enjoyed meeting Morris and would return.

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
