We stayed in Burwell for one night at a local Bed and Breakfast and came across the is restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff really friendly. If your visiting Burwell we recommend you go here.

A tasty mexican meal tonight as always and loved the smart new restaurant decor. The pancakes on the menu were a lovely touch for dessert for Shrove Tuesday, thank you very much for a lovely evening, it won’t be long before we visit again.

Amazing place, attentive staff and superb food. A table was booked for six people to have a reunion. Shown to the table on time and waited upon politely and professionally. Food was served quite quickly and the portions were huge. Dessert was delayed but Staff reimbursed us for this and complimentary shots were served. The meal was un rushed and we all felt that, unlike in other restaurants, we were not hurried and it was not an issue that we were still there four hours later!

We called in on the off chance and decided to eat. Lovely pub and very inviting so after a cool lager we decided that a snack was in order. I choose the ploughman's. It arrived with a buttered small slice of white bread and a grated cheese yes I did say grated). I found some brown balls which were disgusting and to my horror very old pickled beetroot. That was returned and replaced with fresher ones. Thankfully I was not very hungry as it was inadequate and lacking the main ingredients of a ploughman's chunky bread and cheese.
