"They didn't have our online booking listed. I showed them my confirmation email but they said it hadn't gone on their system. They found us a table and then told us they hadn't got any roast dinners left as the kitchen closed at 7. We left so can't comment on the food."

Unfortunately, certain main courses were not available because of the problems with gas that meant that the dinge could not be cooked in a pan that was disappointing.

I have previously dined at The Royal Oak on many occasions. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I was a little disappointed. We service we received this time, was not up to the usual standard and I found the steak a little chewy. Has not put me off returning though.
