I had a very pleasant experience at The Shack. I discovered them through a wowcher deal and although the staff were busy, they were also very friendly.

Really friendly staff combined with a great atmosphere, the food and cocktails are up there with the best we have had, we will definitely be coming back to this place.

The inexperienced and rude staff at this restaurant seem to be more interested in having a good time than providing quality service. I would suggest heading to one of the many better dining options nearby instead of wasting your time here. Visualizza piatti

Promised medium rare burgers well done and dry with a strange taste. Fries overcooked taste of bad cooking oil, brown and hollow. Uneatable. 30 for 2 for takeaway should be high end not worse than a burger van, I emailed the manager James 3 weeks ago and not even a response let alone an apology. Really disappointed with inedible meal and complete lack of interest from management.

Me and my friends went to this place for her birthday got there at 7, every time we ordered a drink it would take at least 40mins to come to our table. It took me to ask 4 staff until they did something about it even then they came back asking what we ordered for again. Very disorganised place, shame really as we had 2 drinks for the whole night. They should invest in an app so you order off your phone as there staff look like they can’t cope with a high demand.

i was leaving the shack when it was closing- i was in the loo and the security man kept knocking on the door- as a woman i think i have a right to take my time (ladies i’m sure you’ll know what i’m talking about) and i came out- told him he was being disrespectful- and he shoved me straight over. As a petite 18 year old girl, I find this unacceptable as i could’ve been seriously hurt. I told the other staff and they said I tried to slap him. BOLLUCKS. I organised a surprise party for my partners 25th. The team were so accommodating We didn’t know if we wanted just drinks, or drinks, food and crazy golf, but they couldn’t have been more helpful and lenient! We ended up going for the meal, 2 drinks and golf deal. Nancy, who was looking after us, was absolutely wonderful! (Please give her a raise she deserves it 100%! she looked after us so well organised our large group so we all got our drinks and meals sorted, and was more than happy to take our orders and help us in any way possible (even though we were a fairly large and disorganised group! Read a few negative reviews on TripAdvisor before heading to The Shack 68, so we weren't expecting the best. Happy to say we were pleasantly surprised! You can have a table for dinner, or just an area for drinks which is nice. There's a decent range of beers on the bar including Beavertown Brewery and your more mainstream lagers. The staff were good fun and up for a bit of banter which suits the American bar vibe of the place. We made a reservation for Saturday night at The Shack after booking on Friday. They have a fantastic cocktail deal offering a mix of traditional and frozen cocktails at 2 for £12, which seems to be available all the time. This is great because you don't have to order two of the same cocktails to get the deal, perfect for when you and your partner have different preferences. We dined in the shack and the food was amazing, just as we had imagined from the delicious smells wafting past.
