"We happened to come on a day when Matthew was serving Crispy Asian Chicken as a special! I ordered it and thought I had gone to heaven! It is my favorite thingto eat in Aberystwyth! I go back weekly, and he always fixes it for me. I am pushing for it to be on his daily menu! Also, Matthew is the nicest guy! What more could you ask for?! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We visited Mama Fay's on our first night away in Aberystwyth over the Platinum Jubilee holiday.The shop is bright, colourful and full of life with great music being played. We were greeted by two lovely waitresses who showed us to our table. The entire process was table service, so we could be completely laidback.The service was speedy and the food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the Halloumi Sticks, Jerk Sharer Platter Sweet Potato Tart.All of this, plus drinks came to about £26.50 each. For a three course meal and a drink, I'd say that is great value for money! If we ever find ourselves in Aber again, we will be popping in to Mama Fay's!"

"only excellent! the relaxed and friendly team immediately made me feel at home. they have great beer and great eating and look at cocktails and wine list, this quality trend went directly over the menu. so, a brilliant restaurant in its own right, but the sunset makes it worthy to a place in itself. only a great place and no hesitation to recommend at all. "Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too. Dietary restrictions: Great choice for vegans and meat eaters won't be disappointed"

"We had an evening meal with friends. The menu vegan items are marked on the menu but interestingly Veggie ones are not. There are some gluten free options too. I thought there was enough choice for vegans and veggies I had the aubergine tagine with a pickled cucumber side salad. The other salads looked amazing too. Followed by a grilled pineapple and coconut ice cream. The atmosphere loved it. The place was relaxed perfect for meeting with friends you haven’t seen for a year. No overwhelming music. Staff were happy to help but not in your face. Price with £13 main and salad £6.50 It could be considered expensive. Portions were big. So I think for what you are given it’s acceptable. But if you order 2 or three salads the price for a salad comes down so share the salads the price is better. Seriously considering going back tonight and there’s not many places that I would say that about."

"We had 2 mega breakfasts for £10.50 which is standard price wise. Quantity was fine, quality was abysmal. Cheapest produce used. Sausages were vile, bacon fatty. Scrambled egg was sloppy. They already put milk in your hot drinks which is fine but the constitution was weak and they didn't ask how you liked it. Our breakfasts also arrived at different times. Also bizarre policy of asking people to wait outside whilst they clean tables. Seemed very hostile from the beginning/not welcoming. I am flabbergasted it is so well scored on here. Wished we'd have stuck to our initial feelings and eaten elsewhere. I rarely leave reviews but I was just genuinely disappointed"
