The Spice Room - Piatti

I visited this restaurant on Friday with my son and had a great experience. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the establishment was very clean. This will now be our top choice for curry. Definitely worth a visit.

Below average for me. Lots of sauce and not much else. Waiter came across a bit like he would rather serve someone else, awkward hard work. Korma tasted like it had a lb. of sugar in it. Not like i have eaten anywhere else. Poor value for money, will not go back.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant when I booked a surprise 30th family birthday meal for my sister. The service from start to finish was outstanding and very accommodating. Booked for Saturday 6pm...received a confirmation by e mail at 1 am which they should look at as could be easily missed. However...sat down ,had an extremely passable pint of Madri. Ordered food which came relatively promptly. Popadums ,Chutney and then 2 curry dishes...all very good and pleasantly served. Great idea also to allow people to pop in just for a drink as there are v few pubs in the area. Well done all...will be back.

I was extremely disappointed by the curry served at this restaurant. The plates were lukewarm, and there were no spices in any of the four curries we ordered. The tikka masalas looked unappetizing, and the tikka bhuna tasted like tomato soup with a few pieces of chicken. My wife wanted to send it back, but didn't want to cause a scene with other family members present. We tried to eat it and make the best of it, but when the bill came to £42 for two mediocre curries and drinks, we paid it and left. I will not be returning to this restaurant, even if the meal is free.

Visited with family after someone recommended it to us. Had big expectations. Ordered drinks, I'd asked for a dry white wine but was given a sweet wine. I asked for them to swap it for a gin instead which they did and no charge for the wine. Starters came, which we all enjoyed. Chicken pakora was beautiful with light crispy batter, one if the best I've tasted. For mains I opted for lamb tikka with a side of curry sauce. Sadly the lamb was so chewy I couldn't eat it. saw the review of this restaurant on fb saying it has won the lancs best restaurant ,and wanted to visit seeing all the good reviews ,rang to book a table for 4 as we have visitors from Australia, asked about the set menu adding if we wanted we could swap some dishes if we wanted to even if we had to pay more and was assured we could. having been to Abdullah's quite a few times and finding it reasonable, mainly thanks to a member of staff there who is very cheerful and bubbly, (Millie) but the last few occasions me and friends have been for a meal, we found it to be totally different, the pompadoms was not fresh they could be rolled up and no snap with them, the shish kababs was more in line with sawdust than meat, on this visit tonight to give it one last chance, all I can say is yes we know cost of living is hitting everyone, but the keema dish I had had more potato and pea's in, and by saying more I'm talking three quarters of the dish really was potato and pea's, I have never seen the many pea's in the dish or potatoe...

Very disappointed by our visit. We decided to visit here instead of our usual curry house because they had recently won an award and it is our nearest restaurant. We pre booked a table for 7pm as it was Saturday night instead of just turning up. Our drinks order was taken before we had even taken our coats off to sit down we hadn’t even looked at the menu to see what drinks there were! We then waited 20 minutes until our food order was taken. A couple walked in and sat at the table next to us they were obviously regulars as the waiters came over and talked to them, addressing them by their names and their order was taken immediately.
