Good food but there were some very noisey dogs in the bar area.

excellent eating and atmosphere at this. the beer garden is large with many tables and magnificent views of the distance of forests, seas and cliffs beyond. service is courteous and attentive with our menu adjustments agreed with a smile. I'm sorry it was too good to go cold!

I've been in the isle of wight for a holiday three times, and every time I'm here, I've come into the sun twice! eating is always excellent and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. the hotel is a walkable distance from the compton beach, it is ideal for a drink or a meal. can not recommend enough!

We had an early dinner here on Saturday before heading back to the ferry and it was great. It is a lovely pub with a large restaurant and great views of the surrounding countryside and the South coast of England in the distance. The staff were very welcoming and the service was very good. We visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner after a lovely walk to admire the bluebells in Mottistone. The weather was beautiful and sunny, which made the outdoor seating even more enjoyable, especially with the lovely live acoustic music. The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the place being busy. I would have preferred to sit on the pink side, but the food was still delicious. Thank you!

came over this jewel of a place while they were looking for somewhere to eat. what a good idea! great, great staff and more food! I wish we had found it years ago at previous visits on the island. highly recommended and will definitely be back! we had rumpsteak with homemade chips and pfefferminz. must come bck to try the tempting specials. keep the great works young and gals that they deserve the full 5 stars.

We were fortunate to discover the Sun Pub on the sunny Bank Holiday of May 31st while on our tour down from the Needles. And wow! Hulverstone is already a stunning place, but the views from the Sun Pub, overlooking the fields and the sea, are absolutely breathtaking. I also want to highlight the live music and the friendly staff—thank you, Alex! I mentioned I’d be writing a review! Our food was beautifully presented, and I took some photos of our meals from that day, as well as a picture of the current menu as of May 31st, 2021.
