Best steak pie I’ve had n years. Salmon was also lovely. Now our go to place. Had to come early to get a table, no wonder why it’s so popular.

A fantastic dining experience with incredible service. The Sunday roast was delicious and the cozy pub atmosphere was charming. It's a bonus that they have a menu for dogs as well. I highly recommend this place.

Lynn and Stuart pulled out all the stops for my 'hanging of the boots ' retirement party it was amazing. I will never be able to thank them and the staff enough for a great night and fab buffet. We all enjoyed it immensely. Perfect hospitality.

This village pub is simply delightful. The staff were top-notch and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We enjoyed two fantastic meals on back-to-back nights, and our two cockapoos were quite content lounging by the open fire. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Visualizza piatti

We have visited twice this week, once for lunch and the second time for an evening meal. Both visit were fantastic, lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Food delicious! Fresh, great size portions and a reasonable price. Dogs loved the dog ice creams. Staff very helpful with allergy advice. Lovely to spend time in a proper pub! Will definitely visit again when we are back in the area.

Great little boozer with fabulous food. We walked 2 miles for lunch and more than worth it. Being November it was fairly quiet, but that was fine. Very dog friendly with a separate menu for the dogs. Landlord was very attentive, imparted some local knowledge and chatted amiably to us. Food was fantastic, with the lamb shoulder a standout. Pretty sure it had cooked for days the way it fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. A couple of pints of well kept ale rounded things off nicely. The 2 mile walk back was very necessary to work things off. Stuffed!

We visited the Sun 3 times during our week long stay down by the lake. The first 2 times we just had drinks, and the final visit we ate too. It’s a lovely little cozy, friendly and inviting place. All of the staff were lovely and made us and the dog feel welcome. The beer was good and the landlord gave us loads of useful info on the surrounding area. The food was great too. Pub food but well done. We had steak pie and lamb shoulder, whilst Burty had some of his own special sausages. I really fancied the sticky toffee pudding but we were both stuffed.
