"My Mother had her 80th Birthday meal at the restaurant last night and I had to write a review as she had the most incredible time surrounded by all her friends! They have all commented how fabulous the food was and we were able to organise everything with the help of the quite frankly brilliant staff. It’s a little gem of a bistro where the food, drink and welcome are of a very high standard. Thank you so much to the staff who made it such a special night and I would recommend anyone to book a table there for a celebration or just a lovely meal"

"Ordered for delivery and was told 1 hour and 10 mins due to traffic which is fine. We waited an hour and 20 minutes and nothing, phoned and was told he’s on the way. We live 10 mins away. Another 15 mins and nothing so phoned again and told there was traffic bearing in mind we’d ordered another take away which had already arrived and been eaten by this point. 2 hours later this turned up so didn’t even bother as everyone else had eaten. Will not order here again, shocking service and the guy on the phone couldn’t care less"

"I was here with a lot as part of a work night out and was really impressed by everything. it is a quiant looking place from the front, but is deceptively large in the inner. the decor and layout is very smart and well presented, rustic Italian feeling, but still polished. the coworkers here were all excellent. everyone who served us was professional, friendly, polite and efficient. they were able to bring about 11 starters, main and desserts simultaneously on each cure on the table, and if they consider how comprehensive the menu is, this is a pretty trick in itself. it shows that it is not only the front side of the house that are on their game, but clearly the kitchen staff and all behind the scenes. the biggest attraction for any restaurant is always eating and this is definitely right here. we ordered a fair selection from the menu between the quantity and there were many happy faces around the table. each dish was spot on and portioned and quality were excellent. on a first look to the trips it would be easy to think that this will be another overpriced restaurant with tiny portions, but that is really not the case. each dish was worth every penny and was some of the best games for the dishes I had ordered that I had eaten everywhere. combined, an excellent Italian restaurant that brings it to the point and is perfect for a special night out. superb."

"I have never written a negative review before, but I was shocked at how bad our experience was at this restaurant. I don't understand how it remains so popular. We went there with family for a birthday meal and, although it was busy, we waited over an hour for our food. When we asked about our food after an hour, the waitress just said it wouldn't be long and that she was hungry too. There was no apology for the wait and the quality of the food did not justify the price. The cod was watery and the steak was overcooked. A simple apology and some bread while we waited would have been appreciated. When we paid the bill and expressed our disappointment, the head waiter simply said he would take care of us next time. Unfortunately, there won't be a next time. There are better restaurants in the area that I will visit instead. Working in hospitality is challenging, but keeping the customer informed and satisfied should be a priority."

"Went to the Ivor arms for Sunday lunch. It was recommended to me. Arrived at 13:55 for our table which was booked for 14:00. We were asked to order our drinks at the table as it would be quicker. After 40 mins someone took our drink and food order. My daughters starter came out 10 mins later. Our drinks didn’t come for another 30mins. After 1hr 30 mins we still hadn’t received our lunch, so I asked about it. I was told we had to wait as we had ordered one starter . When our meals came we asked for mint and apple sauce which never came. The waitresses were running around and were obviously very short staffed. Wouldn’t go again and wouldn’t recommend."
