"Location: The three eagles is easy to find in the town centre, about 1 minute walk from the bridge. There is no parking on the streets immediately surrounding it. Disabled access: with outside booths, ground floor bar and restaurant, access should be possible for most....Staff: all the staff were young, friendly and efficient. It was strangely reassuring to see them all in the same uniform. Pros: Food and drinks were all reasonably priced. We had the Sunday lunch (beef or roast of the day or mixed). Great to see a mixture of different vegetables instead of the usual peas and carrots. This had cabbage, mashed root veg, roast potatoes and a bowl of cauliflower cheese. Delicious. The meat was plentiful and very tasty. There’s also a very mixed and interesting menu, so something for every Cons: The the meal is served with the gravy on. Why? If you serve an average amount, then statistically most people will think it’s either too much or too little (we found it too much). So serve it separate and let everyone give themselves the amount they want. Secondly, they add a 7% gratuity onto the bill automatically. They shouldn’t. They should let us decide if the food and service warrant it (it did, but that’s not the point). They shouldn’t put people in the awkward position of having to ask to not pay. Wifi: yes. Definitely worth trying and we will visit again the next time we’re passing through."

Visited for lunch, nice welcome, great food, professional and courteous staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Best fillet steak I think we’ve ever eaten. Definitely recommended

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary. The vegan food was delicious, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive, however, there were limited vegan options available which is why I am only giving it 4 stars.

We visited on the Saturday evening of Eisteddfod weekend, which is always a special time in the town. We found the food to be fantastic quality. Service was excellent and there was great ambiance and decor. It’s on the pricy side, but in line with... Visualizza piatti

I am confused by the positive reviews for this restaurant. There are only two vegan main dishes on the menu, both of which are bean-based (quinoa/bean burger and fajitas). The appetizer options include bean tacos or cauliflower fritters. I was disappointed by the lack of variety and creativity in the menu. The food was decent, but I don't think I would return. we visited to celebrate daughter graduation. so disappointed husband did not like his torte or the gravy fair to be exchanged, but the shock we got when two of us had ordered filet steak, I had made two pieces thin steak well. when I order medium rare! my daughter got a sirloin who wasn't what we ordered. they were exchanged filet came ground giving trainer chef. weeping and drinks were given by a female manager who were free, but found the menu badly not 5 stars. the three eagles have become more of an up market burger joint. not eating fine from any stretch if you want to burger, they will love it if they do not expect a varied interesting menu to go the place. very disappointing.

trace of the moment decision to eat after a busy day at work brought us to the three eagles who was surprisingly busy as it was a Monday. we have been offered a selection of table in the interior or exterior area in the courtyard. we choose outside as it was a pleasant evening and somehow have some of the tables heating. the waitress offered us a deck. it was nice to be in the fresh air after sitting in a stuffed office all day, and the courtyard at the back is a nice place to be. our eating was good my partner had the porridges that looked really impressive. However, he felt that there was not enough BBQ sauce with him, but this was not a problem our excellent waitress (which came to check...

"Went for afternoon tea with my wife, using an 'experience ' voucher from a well known site, costing £35.99 absolute disaster! The description said 'sit down in the sophisticated dining room and tuck into a section of finger sandwiches, tantalising cakes, pastries, macarons and scones with clotted cream and jam. You won 't want this afternoon to end! ' Trust me, we could not get out of their quick enough and go and find somewhere to get something to eat. The sophisticated dining room was a large, cold room with only a couple of other diners, sticky wooden tables, with no table cloths, just a flimsy paper napkin and a knife and fork. We ordered a coffee and a tea, which came in the smallest teapot, I have ever seen. Later in the meal, when we asked for another drink, we were told that was extra and were charged another £5.70. The food was nothing like as described or pictured on the website. A sad looking selection of sandwiches four quarters each of thin sliced bread one containing a very small piece of processed ham, a second mashed up egg, third was some sort of fish, not sure if it was salmon or tuna; and finally some sort of green leaf with something wet on top it looked like the sandwich had been made days earlier and then sat upon! No pastries or macarons but the two scones with clotted cream and two little pots of jam were OK, however the remaining small cakes were dreadful, none of them were fresh there were two eclairs that were inedible, either the cream or chocolate was off and they were very dry; two little red velvet cakes, which again were dry and horrible; and finally two small pieces of carrot cake that were the least objectionable but again very dry. When we told the waitress the eclairs, she said she would tell the chef but no offer of an alternative. True, it was an unforgettable experience, but not in the way we had expected! We have had afternoon teas in top hotels, pubs, cafes and well known garden centres and nothing came close to being as bad as this meal. Needless to say we will never return and would strongly advise caution if anyone is thinking of going here."
