"It was late lunchtime (1.45pm today), when we arrived at The Wellington hidden away in Feltwell a mid West Norfolk village. In truth perhaps arriving late on a mid week day our expectations might have been rather low. However everything about this popular pub/restaurant is a little bit exceptional. Firstly the establishment is a shrine to the Wellington WW2 Bomber Plane I don 't expect you would find more memorabilia anywhere else outside the Imperial War Museum! That said there is a really comfortable bar and a separate restaurant which is very much upmarket 'officers mess ' perhaps a little old fashioned but impeccably furnished and like the rest of the establishment incredibly clean and well presented. So interesting, comfortable, welcoming, made us fell welcome, How about the food? They have a really good menu with basics you would expect from a pub, sandwiches, burgers, ham eggs and chips, sausage and mash, etc, to more adventurous daily specials. This makes it sound ordinary but the care, quality ingredients, and execution of these basic dishes set the Wellington well above its pub grub competition. In some respects very Tom Kerridge! I had an excellent Steak and Kidney Suet Pudding, perfectly done really tasty filling outstanding in fact, (choice of veg and gravy on the side) My wife ate every scrap of her Smoked Haddock Fillet with Horseradish Mash on a bed of Spinach, topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise Sauce she is quite a fussy eater and again I have to repeat that word it was excellent. Well done Wellington! Keep up the good work. Thank you."

The friendly welcome as we walked through the door, to the amazing food was just as good as our previous visit before Covid. We’re staying at Centre Parcs and booked a table to make sure we could get in. The place was busy and great atmosphere Food was good quality and delicious. Would most definitely recommend. Will be back when we’re next in the area. Many thanks. Visualizza piatti

Wow! We celebrated my 60th birthday here with a family lunch and Chris (landlord) could not have been more friendly and helpful, especially with the little people. Chocolate ice cream with sprinkles? No problem! The food was wonderful just couldn't eat all the fish, even though it was delicious and the deserts didn't disappoint either! If we lived locally we would be here on a regular basis, but will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Brilliant place, great staff. This isn’t a knock but they don’t do food any longer as their kitchen is closed. (Which is why I’ve put comments as below). This doesn’t stop it from being a great pub to go to. Great selection of all beverages. Fantasticly stocked“themed” events i.e. cider fest, ginboree, beer fest etc. The karaoke nights are brilliant along with the selections of music they have booked every month. Definitely the place to go.

I'd been to the Wellington before and had been impressed; usually the food is very good, but for sunday roast it is to be AVOIDED. The meat was very overcooked, especially the beef; extremely tough. The giant yorkshire puddings were store-bought and hard as a rock. Potatoes were cooked well but entirely unseasoned. All in all it very much reminded me of the roast you get in a hospital. For a place that normally has good food it was shocking. I could cook a better roast with my eyes shut. Visualizza piatti

The people was extremely friendly and inviting. Had such a laugh with them all. Was a really good night. Played lots of pool and they have darts. My partner was so excited over the urinals came out with a picture on his phone lovely pub. If you have a bad date there's plenty to read and lots of pictures to look at. Looks like a tiny pub from the outside but it's quite big, love the beer garden too. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for making us feel welcome. It was in the evening when we went so we didn't have the food. My god it smelt lovely when someone did order food. Can't wait to visit again and try the food out.

I was looking forward to visiting this pub having just moved into the area. I walked in with my disability dog who was clearly coated as such when a gentleman stepped in front of me said very brusquely “oi no dogs in here”. I explained he was my service dog, to which the person shrugged his shoulders said “so what”. I said they would be very discriminatory not to allow me in. The man then turned to the bar manager said “no dogs in here have a word”. At this point I turned and left feeling quite humiliated as the pub was very busy. It’s a shame as from a military family had looked forward to seeing the place. I shall be sure to tell my military colleagues not to bother. Disgusting attitude.

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."
